On Sunday we set a long table at The Forge for The Longevity Luncheon, in celebration of World Menopause Day, and the room filled with women ready to talk honestly about health, money, food and movement.

Thank you to Tisha Edwards (@tishaedwards1913 and The Long Game for being our champion, and to Dr. Sarasijhaa Desikan (@dr_desikan) Judge Michelle Arvin-Greer, Jodie Gordon and Chef Taueret K. Thomas (@kheperas_kitchen) , for sharing their expertises with the audience.

Thank you to our team, who spent the week preparing so that Sunday could look effortless.
If you want to be part of what we do, you can give at thebitcenter.org, volunteer with us, or think of The Forge for your next dinner, meeting or celebration, because every booking pays for our programs.

“LEADING!” That’s what we’re saying with Dionne in this video. 💙

And part of leading is learning to speak clearly about what you need.

Week five of our WELD accelerator sponsored by TEDCO, and Coppin State University brought a RICH conversation about leadership and boundaries with Dionne D. Joyner and Tisha Edwards.

I’m comfortable setting boundaries today. But I wasn’t born that way.

I spent years feeling feelings I didn’t want to feel and saying nothing.

Those years are why I wrote How Not to Be a People Pleaser: Five Action Steps to Using Your Voice Without Regret. 📘

Life is too short, and misunderstandings can last too long. Clarity in communication is key.

You cannot keep watering everyone else’s lawn while your own turns brown. Tend to yourself so you have the capacity to care for others. 🌱

The book is available on Amazon, and I’m available to speak with your team, organization, or community group about boundaries, clear communication, and making room for your purpose.

Ready to help your group find and use their voices? DM me or email info@DrHeatherLamb.com.

Great people. Great insight. You need to get you a WELD group! ✨

Menopause isn’t just a private health struggle, it’s a public policy priority. 🏛️💼

This past Tuesday, we joined First Lady @dawnflythemoore at the Governor’s House for a special screening and panel discussion of The M Factor 2: Before the Pause-Perimenopause.

From addressing “The Grey Attrition” where women are forced out of the workforce at the peak of their careers, to fighting the clinical training gaps that leave symptoms dismissed, Maryland is paving a new path forward.

With our new law HB 1365 and programs like the FAMLI Act, we are working to protect women’s health, careers, and economic security at every stage of life.

It’s time to extend health advocacy across the entire lifespan. Let’s keep shredding the silence! ❤️
