Reflections

Great weekend. Good vibes for our team.. for the most part😅 not exactly the smoothest weekend but I can say I had a blast. Loved the teams we played against, just a lot of fun and good pickleball! A lot of laughter. A lot of screams. But of course serious pickleball and some tears. But all in all, it was just really excellent pickleball amongst friends.

I especially loved our finale match with Pat and Virvien thinking, what a great game to play in front of all these people. They will thoroughly enjoy the rallies, some PPA level mixed doubles.

Great weekend in a great venue with great weather!!

Thank yous

1. Thank you Jesus. We prayed to play free, to play with excellence, and to play for each other. God answered our prayers but even more than that, he gave the win. What a bonus. Thank You Lord. The talent, opportunity, the health, the timing, all things you have ordained for the success last weekend. Thank you that we are the recipients of this grace.

2. Thank you teammates. Everyone gave their all. We weren’t undefeated in the sense that there were no losses. That was never the goal anyway. But we tried our best and we never gave up even in the matches that did not go our way. Thank you for fighting. Thank you for battling. Thank you for going out there for this team.

3. Thank you to our owners. Thank you for making sure we can all lock in for our games. Thank you for providing for us everything we need and more — from food to drinks to mental and emotional support. Thank you.

4. Thank you to our socmed team who give us great photos and videos and content! Thank you we can always look forward to something after the weekend because you allow us to relive it.

5. Thank you to our supporters whether you came there physically or online. I just want to let you all know that whenever you say or message us it actually means a lot. I really do appreciate it and I don’t take it for granted. Every good luck, good bless, im rooting for you. I’ll be watching your games mean so much to me. I appreciate your support. Thank you

I started competing in tennis tournaments when I was 5 years old. Ever since I can remember, winning trophies was my favorite thing in the 🌍 ( as you can see from my smile in the 2nd pic 😂) And honestly that passion and love to win trophies still hasn’t changed. The thing that has changed is what these trophies mean and represent. When I was a kid, my mom never let me eat junk food. The only time I ever got to eat junk food was if I won a tournament. So back then, winning a tournament meant I got to go to Steak and Shake! My signature order was a triple steak burger with cheese, cheese fries, and a double chocolate chip shake. And you bet your ass I stuffed every bite into that little body of mine 😂 As I advanced in tennis, winning trophies became more difficult so their value to me became richer. The meaning of these titles changed. The trophies now represented all the long hours on the court and gym, all my parents hard work and sacrifice for me, the pain, the suffering, the losses, the blood sweat and tears, the ups and downs of competition, my passion for the sport, and all the sacrifices I have made in my life. I value trophies so much more now because I know how difficult it is to win them and you don’t get to win them every week. Getting to win the first leg of MPPT with our team @titans.mppt and share this trophy with all my teammates was really special. I’ve only been playing pickleball for about two years now so everything is still pretty new to me. But thing that hasn’t changed is my passion for working hard and improvement. My passion for winning. And my passion for winning 🏆!!! Grateful for all the people who love and support me. Grateful for my teammates. Grateful for this new journey I’m on.
