Her campaign based on lack of ๐‡๐š๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐ซ๐ž๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง brings attention to the issue of exclusion and stifle of Haiti on the world stage โ€œathletically, economically, and culturallyโ€. โ€œDespite everything, still we riseโ€ -Gileฬne.๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡น Representation is more than being seen. Itโ€™s about making space. Putting the spotlight on the artists and creatives behind the image is an important part of this project. Representation isnโ€™t only about what we see in front of the camera; itโ€™s also about who gets to create, direct, design, and tell the story. Haiti jersey is a visual statement for Haitian representation, made with love and intention by Gileฬne.๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡น Song : Fiesta by Tabou Combo Tabou Combo band formed in 1967 in Port-Au-Price, takes Haitian Kompa to the widest of audiences around the world known as the ultimate global โ€œAmbassadors of Kompa.โ€ Their music knows no language barrier with songs performed in English, Spanish, French, and Creole. Palm trees, tropical flowers, flags, and bold colour palettes are some of the elements found in her designs.
