🩵🤍 ⚽️ SEEING MANCHESTER CITY PLAY FOR THE FIRST TIME (and other fun things in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and more) 🤍🩵⚽️

THE BRONX: A DREAM COME TRUE for my family and I to watch @mancity play for the first time during their summer tour in America — in the legendary @yankeestadium, which is a where I graduated from @nyuniversity! Watching @erling.haaland score a goal, seeing @jackgrealish play (and his beautiful highlights and iconic calves), and staring at THE @pepteam was UNREAL. CITY TILL I DIE.

MANHATTAN: My home for 4 years when I was an NYU undergraduate — gave my family and I the wonderful memories of the @mancity pop-up store in Rockefeller Center. Many things were bought and it was truly AMAZING to be there.

BROOKLYN: Now my fav NYC borough (sorry, Manhattan) and my brother’s home for several years now — gave us the memories of the nostalgic fun and beachside wonder that is Coney Island, the coolness of the @brooklynmuseum (my brother’s new workplace) and the wonderful @paulmccartney photography exhibit, and many, many, delicious meals.

QUEENS: One delightful night that included a yummy, traditional Filipino dinner at @titorads and playing board games and super cool pinball machines at @solidstatebar.

TECHNICALLY we drive through STATEN ISLAND to get to JERSEY: And one magical day at @americandream — the East Coast’s Mall of America! It was overwhelmingly wonderful — and I personally loved the designer stores and the @thegameroomad by @hasbro and the arcade (I played too many arcades during this trip, but I truly love skeeball, winning tickets, and getting prizes).

GRATEFUL for continually calling NYC home, for making fun memories with my family in all five of its boroughs, and for dreams coming true. 🩷🩷🩷

On this day -June the 16th - Happy Fathers Day to All the Fathers Worldwide. They work behind the scenes and do so much for their families. For me , my father is no longer here - he passed about 4 months ago on Feb 23, 2024. He left behind my mom, 5 children including me, and 9 grandchildren. My normal routine would be to call him every year on Father’s Day as I live in NYC, and he resides in Florida with my mom. But this year - there would be no phone call but a day to reflect how blessed I was that all he wanted for me in life was to go higher and higher than him. I may not be able to call him on the phone anymore but I’m grateful everyday for him giving me and setting me up for a great life I’m living now. Happy Philippines Independence Day! 🇵🇭 to honor today, here’s a meal my mom and I shared in late March at Tito Rad’s Grill in Sunnyside. We enjoyed lumpiang sariwa (fresh lumpia - filled with vegetables and topped with peanut sauce!), chicken adobo and rice, and then a slice of ube cake with homemade ube ice cream! The food was delicious, prices incredibly reasonable, and the owner was so kind and welcoming. Looking forward to going back again, hopefully soon! 💜
