I didn’t think this day would ever really happen. Playing my last high school baseball game is something I knew would come one day, but I don’t think anything could have really prepared me for how it would feel when it was actually over. I’ve been stalling on making this post because it’s hard to put into words what this chapter has meant to me. Baseball has given me so much more than wins, losses, practices, and games. It gave me brothers, memories, lessons, and a second family that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

I’m going to miss walking into the field with the guys, joking around before practice, the bus rides, the locker room talks, the big moments, and even the hard days that taught us who we were. I’m going to miss the teammates who became family and the coaches who pushed me, believed in me, and helped shape me not only as a player, but as a person. There are so many little moments that I probably didn’t realize I’d miss until now.

High school baseball was a chapter I’ll never get back, and that’s what makes it so hard to let go of. But I’m beyond thankful that I got to live it with this group of people. I’ll always be proud to have worn this jersey, represented this program, and made memories that will stay with me forever.

This isn’t the end of baseball for me, and I’m excited for what’s next as I move on to college baseball, but this chapter will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you to my teammates, coaches, family, and everyone who supported me along the way. I’m sad it’s over, but I’m so grateful it happened. Once a part of this family, always a part of it. Love y’all forever.
