Congratulations to Tre, Eyob, & Wesley on winning the EYxMBL Case Competition!

This past weekend our very own Treasurer Wesley Ngbesso, Secretary Tre Smith, alongside their team member Eyob Asfaha competed in the EYxMBL case competition. Which had teams to develop ethical strategies and plans on how to implement AI across four functions of accounting: Audit, Tax Compliance, Financial Statement preparation and Management Decisions. Their presentation focused on multiple creative uses of AI in accounting, and the ethical implications of their implementation.

Teams Cream and Crimson had a fantastic time at the St. Louis Regionals last weekend! Both teams earned honorable mentions with impressive 5-3 records and 4 individual awards!

First, freshman Sara Syed kept her winning family legacy alive with her 17 ranked witness award!!

Freshman Aidan Prather stole the show from the witness stand, bringing home a 17 rank award to add to our overflowing trophy case.

Though it was cold in St. Louis, with senior San “Sanshine” Kumar we’ve got the month of May. He finished out his mock trial career with a bang, earning a 17 rank witness award!

Finally, Sophomore George Madden has the voice of an Angel and the hair of a Lego figurine. These wonderful qualities shot him to the top of the competition winning him a 19 rank attorney award!!

We couldn’t be more proud of what our C teams have accomplished! Watch out for next year because the future of this program looks bright!

CAN I GET A HOO HOO HOO HOOSIERS!!?!?

There was truly something in the air this weekend because we not only had one, but two teams place this weekend!

First, our A team traveled all the way to Alabama this past weekend, winning 5th place, and still somehow managed to make it back to Bloomington in time to watch our Hoosiers WIN THE NATTY!!!!

Next, TALK ABOUT A C TEAM DREAM TEAM!! Our C teams traveled to MSU and Team Crimson kicked some butt winning 4th place!

They also came home with a few awards:

First, freshman and nepo-baby, Sara Syed showed up and showed out winning her first ever witness award with 16 ranks!

Next, our girl Jackson Grubbs got yet another witness award with 17 ranks! This baddie just can’t stop winning!

Finally, our Brazilian Baddie Sarah Tirloni Barreros kicked some major butt this weekend winning a 17 rank attorney award!!
