Our partners, our biggest cheerleaders, our taxi drivers, our roadies, our emotional support humans! We genuinely couldn’t do this without you.

So lucky to have such a beautiful little Vibe family 🥹

Missing one very important member of the crew last night though… Andy, you were definitely missed!

Zyzz and Rich Piana represented two completely different visions of bodybuilding.

One made aesthetics, proportion and transformation part of a lifestyle. The other made extreme size, intensity and individuality part of his identity.

The contrast is older than social media: bodybuilding has repeatedly moved between the Apollonian ideal of shape and proportion and the Herculean ideal of mass and power.

Different physiques. Different paths. Both became bigger than competition and both are still influencing gym culture years after they were gone.

The “aesthetic” physique is not a modern invention.

Greek sculptors formalized the ideal through proportion, balance, control and visible strength. Michelangelo revived it in David. Later physiques, from Steve Reeves and Frank Zane to Bruce Lee, Jack LaLanne, Zyzz and Chris Bumstead, kept repeating the same visual language.

But the original ideal was not built just to be admired.

It represented excellence, athletic ability, military readiness and civic responsibility. The body looked capable because it was expected to be capable.

The shape survived. The purpose changed.

Follow @the_masculine_corner for the history and science behind the physiques men still chase.

Zyzz never trained simply to become the biggest man in the room.

He wanted a physique that looked like art: streamlined, tapered and universally appealing.

His 2011 routine reflected that goal. Chest day opened with incline dumbbell presses. Lateral raises were one of his three must-have exercises. Squats appeared twice in the week. And when the written rep range said 8–10 but more reps were there, he kept going.

Before Zyzz became the icon, his older brother had already been training for a year. Seeing Chestbrah’s progress was what first got Aziz into the gym.

Fifteen years later, the story behind that transformation is finally being told.

Poster Boy: Becoming Zyzz is streaming now in Australia on Stan. Its international release begins tomorrow, August 7, on YouTube.

This carousel is part of the training philosophy.

The documentary is the man behind it.

We’re all gonna make it, brah.

Zyzz’s published 2011 diet looked very different from the macro-tracking fitness culture that followed him.

He said he did not count calories. His sample day listed seven meals: six eggs, oatmeal and a protein shake for breakfast; 300 g of chicken; 200 g of tuna; beef or kangaroo; steak or kangaroo; salmon with another four eggs; and cottage cheese shortly before bed.

The physique became iconic.

The routine behind it was repetitive, high-protein and built around the foods he could eat consistently.

Poster Boy: Becoming Zyzz is available internationally today.

✨ FOR LIFE – OUT JULY 28TH ✨
This song is for the one who changed everything.
I wrote For Life about my love, @tj_euphoric — a love that’s deep, grounding, and forever. It’s about finding that person who sees all of you, the good, the bad, the sad and still chooses you every single day.

I also want to say the biggest thank you to @magnusmurphy — for not only co-writing and producing this with me, but for truly understanding the heart behind it. You brought this story to life in a way I’ll never forget.

This one means more to me than I can explain. I can’t wait for you to hear it. 🤍💍
Pre-save now — link in bio.
