POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Photo I chose for my children’s book. A lot of people loved it and some hated my shirt😂 I’m sorry to everyone who didn’t like this photo. I wanted to show up as me, and I’m a mess 24/7.

For those who DON’T know, which is probably everyone almost- I taught Special Education and Gifted students for 10 years in the inner city. It was a fun and rewarding job but felt I could ultimately help more children with my books which I do full time now. I want to create books reflecting the unheard stories that most of us don’t know about.

My next goal is to turn my book into an animated short or cartoon series for @disneyplus @netflix @netflixlat @primevideolat @sonypictures wish me luck as I go through that process. And thank you to everyone who has helped me so far #immigration #childrensbook #illustrator #author #writer #design #mexican #latino #latin #méxico #drawing #book #kidslit

My best friend just got married!
We have been best friends since the first day of elementary school, when I was the new girl, it’s been over 25 years.
Well, today was a very special day. She got married to an amazing person and I couldn’t be happier for them and to be able to be there and celebrate 💜
