“There are many worlds, but they share the same sky. One sky, one destiny.”

Here’s the start of my Kingdom Hearts Dearly Beloved Menu Screen project!! I’ve wanted to get my friends together at @colossalcon east this year to replicate the KHIII Re:Mind DLC menu screen, and I’m very happy with how these turned out. Friendship is an incredibly strong theme in Kingdom Hearts, even in spite of people not being from the same place, world, or series.

Thank you to all the friends who came by and got photos with me 🥹🫶 sorry if I couldn’t get everyone to the wave pool while I was in KH cosplay! I’ll be doing this project still for future colossal cons if you missed out!! And maybe beach photoshoots too!!

📸 credit goes to the lovely friends who helped capture each shot (some I forgot who took what 😭) but special shoutout to @merstrein for getting the first shot with the waves crashing at our feet. Stylistically that’s my favorite one c:

“After all, there’s no greater teacher than life itself” 🦫

Thank you, Pacific Northwest for a roller coaster of a four-year span. I honestly wasn’t fully expecting to wind up in Oregon when I was applying for colleges- I kind of just ended up here when one of my other choices needed my AP scores in lieu of GSCEs (they were fine, the timing was not), and when OSU threw me money. Nevertheless, the rest is history… somehow. Honestly, my college search was a LOT of applying to places as far away as I could possibly get from home. The PNW is a truly special place from the perspective of my degree, but also now from a social standpoint. It’s not unknown that I have my gripes with it, but ultimately what matters is the connections I built out here with so many people.

Do I have regrets? Some. Would I change a thing? Absolutely not- except maybe studying a little bit harder. I will miss the PNW people immensely, back out here. My college years led me to meet so many awesome, talented, and truly special people- both in the PNW, and far beyond. I had the opportunity to study my passions in the most beautiful corner of this country under the directions of some incredible people, but also got to meet incredible people all over the place- elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest, back home in DC, and damn- I still can’t believe South Africa happened. That’s why this slideshow is geographically everywhere. So many people all over the place made these past four years so special for me. I expected nothing going into college, and left with more than I could have imagined under my belt. Oregon, thank you for letting me grow. So long as I am in DC or wherever, you all will always have a couch to surf on 🩵

To my friends: Thank you for dealing with me 💀
To my partner: Thank you also for dealing with me. I love you, dear, and I miss you SO much. 💕🫂
