The 2025 World Jump Rope Championships in Kawasaki, Japan has officially come to a close — and what a historic moment it has been. With over 2,600 athletes and coaches from 34 countries, this was the largest and most globally diverse championship in our sport’s history. From the electric energy on the competition floor to the countless behind-the-scenes efforts, this event was only possible because of you. To our incredible athletes, supportive families, tireless judges, passionate coaches, dedicated volunteers, the most amazing stagf and the leadership of our Board of Directors and National Governing Bodies — thank you. A very special and heartfelt thank you to our hosts, the Japan Jump Rope Union (JJRU), for your unwavering commitment and world-class hospitality. And to Executive Vice President Takashi Ogawa, ( brother from another mother) thank you for your friendship and leadership as we co-labor on behalf of the sport and athletes. This was more than a championship — it was a celebration of community, passion, and the limitless future of jump rope. 🪢🌍 We will see you in Norway 🇳🇴 for the 2027 world championships! 📺 Missed any of the action? Today, the 8-day IJRU WORLD JUMP ROPE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023 and DOUBLE DUTCH CONTEST WORLD 2023 have successfully concluded. Congratulations to all the prize-winning athletes and teams! Both Single Rope and Double Dutch, junior and senior jump ropes, and DDC teams were able to show the world once again the strength of Japan as a jump rope powerhouse. After a series of weekly online meetings (usually from 23:00 in Japan) with IJRU officers and members of the World Championships Organizing Committee around the world for about a year prior to the event, the FISAC and WJRF merged in 2018 to form IJRU, and the first in person event and DDC WORLD, the first overseas event in six years, was held in the world. I am relieved for now that it was successfully completed. The process of creating something with people from all over the world with different languages and cultures is always a learning experience, and there has been a lot of drama, but we were able to partner with the Olympic Channel and achieve the first-ever feat of having a Jump Rope that is not yet an Olympic event broadcast live on the IOC website, I am very happy that we were able to create an opportunity for people around the world who do not yet know about jump roping to watch it. The IJRU board members, all the staff, and the staff of the hotel where we stayed were always really kind and warm, and always helped us with a yes and two yeses when we asked. Thank you so much for your cooperation. Especially, Shaun, TK, Ann, Andrej, Monica, Jessica, Nick, Jessi, and kirralee, thank you so much! Finally, next year, the Asian Championships will be held in person for the first time, and two years later, the World Championships will be held for the first time in Japan, this time in Kawasaki City, with us playing a central role. We are all very anxious about these events, but Team Japan will do its best to make them even better than this year's event and to make the participating athletes and officials from all over the world want to come back to Japan again. Please help and support us. #IJRU #WORLDCHAMPIONSHIP #IJRU2023 #JJRU #JUMPROPE #SINGLEROPE #DOUBLEDUTCH #DDC #DDCW2023 #Coloradosprings #Kawasaki

本日、8日間に渡るIJRU WORLD JUMP ROPE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023とDOUBLE DUTCH CONTEST WORLD 2023が無事に終了しました。 特に、Shaun, TK, Ann, Andrej, Monica, Jessica, Nick, Jessi, and kirralee本当に本当にありがとう！
