Backyard Boogie 6 is tomorrow. Here’s a sneak peak into our lil shindig. We are so thankful for all the bands and friends who have helped make this such a special event over the years. Thanks Covid. Who thinks we can make this thing a full blown festival with the right property? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Also s/o my lil big sister @xx_nana for being the best and being born, 33 years ago today! Birthday vibes are commencing. See yall tomorrow!

Mantrapeople at @mantrabashfest at Possum Holler in Prospect Hill, NC

One of my favorite things about Mantrabash, is the variety of beautiful souls that gather from all kinds of places and backgrounds to get down and jam out in the woods together. Who all am I gonna see in the holler this year?? 👀

My second @mountainmusicfest experience was nothing short of absolute perfection 🙏 I was surrounded by so much love and light all weekend from a lot of friends I already knew and so many more new friends I made.

I'm so grateful to have camped with a bunch of my fam, and to have been a part of some tasty jams with the amazing @thesettlementband, these two very fine pickers Fred Stalnaker and Evan Hill of Stalnaker Hill, and Kevin Patrick, the mysterious guitar weilding wizard who came wandering through my camp looking for jams and well.. he found/brought em!

One of my goals throughout the festival was to practice remaining present. I tend to feel like I should be at every single set of a festival if possible, and I feel like im missing out if I'm not there. I get so focused on where I'm going next or where I think I should be that I don't fully appreciate what's happening right in front of me in the present moment, which is a concept that applies to all of life.

So I took my time getting to places, if I even got there at all. I spent more time hanging with everyone at camp, walking around looking at all the art and vendors, and watching the flow artists/fire spinners, soaking up each moment rather than rushing away from it to get to the next. I was so happy and content all weekend 😁❤️

Weekend roadtrip down to Wrightsville Beach to see @thekindthieves at @palmroomwb - salty air, nasty guitar solos, fresh local oysters, and an unforgettable after party. ✌️ 🦪 🎸
