Grammy Award-winning singer Lalah Hathaway released the official music video for her soulful ballad “Can’t Let Go” on her YouTube channel on October 14, 2026. The song explores the emotional complexities of love and the difficulty of letting go.

Simple yet beautiful, the video captures Hathaway performing the song inside a house, with numerous close-up shots creating an intimate atmosphere that complements the track’s reflective mood.

The video was produced in association with MECCA Filmworks, with T.L. Benton serving as producer, director and director of photography. Stephanie Thom served as creative director, while Trae Mitchell was associate producer and assistant director. Additional cinematography was provided by Mitchell and Mike Adeyeye.

When talent and technique collide something special happens! Setting a good pace/tempo is so important when singing The National Anthem. It’s one of those songs that feels easy until you’re in the middle of the ocean looking for a life jacket🥴. I love this coaching moment because Gabby found her stride and most importantly, where the lyrics connected with her own story of perseverance.

Thoughts and prayers always to those impacted by 9/11.

Grateful for Emmy #3. 🏆✨
As the producer and director of this project, I’m incredibly honored to share that Artworks: The Art of Painting has received an Emmy Award.

None of this happens alone.

A heartfelt thank you to the extraordinary Harmonia Rosales, whose brilliance, vision, and artistry continue to inspire. Harmonia is a force to be reckoned with—a gentle spirit with a mighty impact—and I am deeply honored to help share her story with the world.

Special thanks to Ingrid Best for believing in this project and pushing to make it happen. Your support and advocacy made all the difference.

I’m also incredibly grateful to T.L. Benton and his groundbreaking Artworks series. This Emmy-winning project represents just a small glimpse of a much larger and even more powerful documentary currently in the works. I can’t wait for the world to experience the full story.

This award is a reminder of what happens when women—and visionary artists—come together to create, uplift, and inspire.

Here’s to storytelling with purpose, celebrating extraordinary talent, and shining a light on the artists who help us see the world differently.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. Onward.
