The Tenderloin Community Benefit District (TLCBD) / Leading the evolution of the Tenderloin into a vibrant neighborhood for ALL. #TenderloinSF #TLCBD

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Let’s give you a few more reasons to spend time in the Tenderloin 👀

I live in this neighborhood, and there are so many businesses here I want more people to know about. So I’m teaming up with the Tenderloin Community Benefit District (TLCBD) to take you along over the next few months.

We’ll be stopping by local restaurants, checking out shops, finding things to do, and meeting the people behind it all. A little introduction here, a new favorite spot for you, and hopefully more people walking through their doors.

This is episode 0 of Things to Do in the Tenderloin. Follow along, and tell me which neighborhood business you think deserves some love. 👇🏽

Clean Up Sundays 🚮💚

Spend part of your Sunday outside, enjoy the day, and help us show some love to the Tenderloin!

Every week, we come together to clean our streets, connect with neighbors, and care for the place we share. Seeing our regulars and welcoming new faces always makes the day a little brighter. 💚

You’ll also earn SFLuv perks to spend at participating neighborhood businesses. After the cleanup, grab a coffee, enjoy a bite, and keep supporting local!

There are two chances to join us this weekend! On Saturday, we’ll also be joining City Hope for Beautiful the Block, a neighborhood cleanup. Come lend a hand—we’d love to see you at either or both!

📅 Saturday, October 17
Beautiful the Block with City Hope

PART 2 W/SUNNY ANGULO!

Hear this City Hall veteran talk about ...

* various campaigns she managed
* getting a job w/Jane Kim
* being summoned to Aaron Peskin's 2015 run
* Peskin's failed run for mayor
* reflecting and starting SF Propel*

* SF Propel is a progressive policy think tank. You have to check out the incredible work they do, explaining complex issues in an easy-to-understand way. They stand firmly against the continued attempted billionaire takeover of our city. I stand with SF Propel in advocating policies that benefit the working people who truly make our city what it is.

Find Sunny's episode (and all our podcasts) at our website or your favorite podcast app. Also available at the link in our bio here.

Congratulations to our 2026 Good Neighbor Award Winners, Small Business Neighborhood Champions, Beyond the Classroom Award Winner, and Goodest Pets from the Tenderloin! 🏆👏

The winner lists are also posted at sfgoodneighborweek.org :) Let us know if we missed any names or miscategorized any winners-- it's been a manual process this year and we are still updating the list as we contact the winners from a sometimes hard-to-identify or hard-to-reach nomination. :)

Note that this year we're posting first names and last initials of Good Neighbor Award Winners, as an extra precaution to protect privacy of San Francisco residents.

Clean Up Sundays 🚮💚

Another Sunday, another chance to show some love to the Tenderloin!

Every Sunday, we come together to help keep our neighborhood clean, bring people together, and make the Tenderloin a more welcoming place for everyone who lives, works, and visits here.

We do this because we believe small actions make a big difference. Every hour spent cleaning up our streets helps build a stronger sense of community, supports our local businesses, and reminds us what we can accomplish when we show up for one another.

One of our favorite parts of Clean Up Sundays is seeing familiar faces return each week and welcoming new volunteers joining us for the first time! We’re always excited to see our regulars and meet new people who want to make a difference in the neighborhood. 💚

As a thank you for volunteering, you’ll earn SFLuv perks to spend at participating neighborhood merchants. With more local businesses joining SFLuv, there are even more places to grab a bite, enjoy a coffee, shop, and support the Tenderloin community after the cleanup.

Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been coming every Sunday, we’d love to see you!

Everyone is welcome!

What would it take for the Tenderloin to become a neighborhood where everyone feels safe, supported, and welcome?

At the District 5 Tenderloin Family Summit, participants celebrated the neighborhood’s cultural diversity, community organizations, and strong connections while sharing their priorities for the future:

• Safer, cleaner streets and sidewalks
• Stronger school, mental health, and afterschool support
• Easier access to programs and services
• More affordable housing and economic opportunities
• Welcoming spaces for families and neighbors to gather
