What a wild, beautiful, magical few months it’s been. Feeling grateful for all the memories and the people who make my life feel so full 💖🎶✨

Best month ever; my best friend came to visit, I met my idol, I got the most annoying tattoo covered & got to spend time with the people I adore more than anything! 💘

My first set with my new show at @icehouseradio Motion Ritual. ⋆˚.༄

It wouldn’t feel right to proceed with the music without talking about what’s been weighing on my heart. What is happening in this country right now is truly heinous. We’re seeing people be brutalized and killed by our own government for simply standing up for what is right. “Land of the free” is truly laughable when violence and repression is being normalized through our screens every day. We are becoming more desensitized to witnessing these things and it’s not normal.

We have to wake up. Organize, be loud, and go fight for our brothers and sisters. Use your voice and whatever platform you have. Say it even if there’s a tremble in your voice, or even if nervous laughter slips out. What matters is you say it and the more you say it, the easier it gets, and you show others that it’s okay to say it too.

FUCK ICE!! & FUCK DONALD TRUMP & THIS ADMINISTRATION. If that makes you uncomfortable please unfollow me.

All that being said, house & techno music has always been sacred to me, especially during times like these. It exists because Black, and queer people needed a safe space to exist and dance freely without judgement. The feeling of being my most authentic self while dancing my heart out is one of the purest forms of joy I know. Everyone deserves to experience that.

Techno grounds me to the present and it reminds me what it feels like to be truly connected to yourself, the music, and those around you. That is why I created Motion Ritual, an hour every month to move intentionally and to be present with yourself and each other.

Thank you for listening. 🌀⭐️✨
