Before there was MANGIA! MANGIA!, there were these pages. ❤️

My Nonna’s beautiful handwriting, faded ink and recipes passed down with love.

The pages are worn, but the memories are priceless.

I created this cookbook so her recipes could live on in kitchens everywhere.

Bring a little piece of our family into yours. 🇮🇹❤️

Thanksgiving, Italian style. 🍂🇮🇹

Turkey, stuffing, broccolini, cranberry sauce, salad and antipasto.

Good food. Family. Traditions worth passing down. ❤️

I’m doing much better!

When you are the face, voice, leader, organizer, host, and main driving force behind an organization, your presence isn’t optional, it’s integral to the event.

GenteTV is not a large club with a board and multiple people who can step in if the president is sick. It’s essentially a one-woman show, with the responsibility, coordination, and execution resting largely on me.

So if I’m genuinely too sick to be there, there isn’t someone who can simply take my place. Unfortunately, our 40th event had to be cancelled or postponed. There was no choice, there isn’t another Nellie. This is my reality. Love it even when I’m ill. Nellie Pedro Oct. 5, 2026.

From a bag of black olives to this. 🇮🇹

Slow-roasted until wrinkled, then tossed with good olive oil, orange zest, fennel and a little chili flakes.

Jarred. Done. And ridiculously good.

This is the kind of food I grew up with, simple ingredients, made with love. 🤍

Sunday in my kitchen 🇮🇹❤️
Homemade sauce bubbling, berry jam from scratch, and oven-dried olives the way they should be.

No shortcuts. NO AI. Just good food, a little patience, and a whole lot of Italian in me. 🍅🫒🍓

La domenica. This is home. 🇮🇹✨

Magnificent evening at the CIBPA Toronto 74th President’s Gala, an evening recognizing leaders whose achievements and contributions have made an impact across business, professional, and community leadership.

CIBPA Toronto President @sabrina_marrelli alongside Honourary Co-Chairs Andria Zanchin and Laura Zanchin welcomed this year’s Awards of Excellence recipients and more than 800 guests in attendance at Venu in Vaughan. Congratulations to all the recipients.

Pasta e Ceci. 🇮🇹🤍

The kind of food I grew up believing didn’t need an occasion.

A pot on the stove. Simple ingredients. Everyone finding their way to the table.

That’s Italian cooking to me…not complicated, not fussy, just food made with love and meant to be shared.

Pasta e Ceci from Mangia! Mangia! Italian Recipes Worth Passing Down.

Coming soon. 🤍

Some recipes don’t just feed you. They bring you home. 🇮🇹❤️

Beef Braciole was never just dinner in our family. It was the smell of sauce simmering for hours, everyone wandering into the kitchen asking when we were eating, and somehow always finding room for one more person at the table.

This is the kind of cooking I wanted to preserve in Mangia! Mangia! - the recipes I grew up with, made the old way and meant to be passed from one generation to the next.

Swipe through for my Beef Braciole recipe. Save it. Make it on a Sunday. And most importantly, make enough for everyone. ❤️
