We are proud to announce that The Ujima Project has officially endorsed the TMU Student Walkout on November 5th! As a campus group representing students at TMU, we believe that we have a responsibility to speak out on the issues affecting our members and to protect the services, resources and spaces that students depend on. Students across Ontario are facing higher tuition fees, fewer OSAP grants, deeper student debt and growing government interference in post-secondary education. The Hands Off Our Education! campaign, led by @cfson and students’ unions across the province, is bringing students and campus organizations together to say: NO TO TUITION HIKES! NO TO OSAP CUTS! HANDS OFF OUR EDUCATION! Join the Province-Wide Walkout with @yourtmsu @tmaps105 and @tm.gsu : ⏰Thursday, November 5, 2026 @ 1:00 PM 📍Rally at Gould & Victoria Street (next to Lake Devo) Learn more about the walkout and RSVP at http://yourtmsu.ca/handsoffoureducation 💻

Thank you for making TDPM possible! TDPM could never happen without the many, many people working toward it– we thank you for your kinship and solidarity. Every year we manage to raise enough funds and get enough volunteers/marshals to make it happen; you show us that you want this march to continue. So to our crips, kin, and comrades: until next year 🧡 Reminder: We do not monitor our social media year-round! To reach us, email TorontoDisabilityPride@gmail.com Image Description: Slide 1: Features an image of a brown, rectangular piece of cardboard with torn edges and a blue push-pin holding up a white, square sheet of paper to the centre. At the top of the cardboard reads the title, “Thank you! for making TDPM possible” in a bold, black font. Underneath the title are five logos, shown on the sheet of paper: Disability Justice Network of Ontario, Butterfly: Asian and Migrant Sex Workers Support Network, Toronto Metropolitan Association of Part-Time Students, Disability without Poverty, and Showing Up for Racial Justice Toronto. At the bottom of the image reads, “TDPM.org” in the same black font as the title. Behind the cardboard is an off-white background with an orange, horizontal paint streak design. Slide 2: Same as the first slide; but the text underneath the title on the white sheet of paper now reads, “volunteers, access volunteers, marshalls, legal observers, medics, PSWs, ASL interpreters, accessible bus driver, tablers, speakers, elders, and community members”. Slide 3: Same as the last slight, but the title now reads, “help keep us marching”, and the pinned white sheet of paper contains donation and feedback information, quoted in the description, as well as a QR code in the bottom half. Slide 4: Visually similar to the first slide, but without the blue push-pin or white sheet of paper. Instead, the cardboard now features a large version of the TDPM logo: a black power fist over the letters “TDPM”. There is no website at the bottom. Visual thank you for TDPM's sponsors

The TTC is leaving you behind! Since September, the TTC implemented fare capping, a program that saves everyone money EXCEPT students. Even if the number of rides is reduced to 40 rides per month or 10 rides per week, it will still not save you money compared to the current student monthly pass. We are asking candidates to support Fair Student Fares and create a fare capping program that works for everyone. Follow your student union for information on candidates, a breakdown of key issues, and everything you need to vote informed. #municipalmondays #fairstudentfares #studentsvote2026

After a densely packed weekend reviewing operating budgets, internal policy, service delivery, and ongoing as well as upcoming campaigns, the CFSO Ontario General Meeting has completed and member local students’ unions from across the province will be returning to their institutions to debrief on everything that was discussed and the business that was conducted. As well, during the OGM, elections for CFSO officer roles including at-large executives, caucus chairs, and constituency commissioners took place for next year (2027/28). I am pleased to announce that I was elected to serve as Treasurer for the organization, an executive role that I will begin on May 1st, 2027. Business aside, the meeting offered unparalleled opportunities for province-wide networking and collaboration as well as exciting social activities that resulted in many new connections! If I wasn’t able to tag your local, please accept my apologies as Instagram only allows 20 tags per post, but know that I valued getting acquainted with all of you! Students united ✊
