Next up in our 2027 team preview series: Tennessee. 🍊

We’re breaking down the Vols’ projected lineup, pitching staff, and incoming talent, with breakout picks and postseason predictions from The Omaha Report, College Baseball Report, and The Prospect Report.

Our picks: Breakouts on the mound, impact bats, and a unanimous Regionals prediction. With both the recruiting class and transfer portal haul ranked No. 3, can Tennessee turn that incoming talent into a deeper postseason run?

How far do you see the Vols going in 2027, and which player will make the biggest impact? Drop your predictions below. 👇

Josh Elander and staff stacked up this offseason for what should be a big 2027 for the Volunteers⚾️🍊

With so many new players, you get the luxury of trying out new positions and shifting them around. Here’s what he had to say about position changes for the Fall

As we close out the summer we take a look at some of the summer standouts from the Cape Cod League. While I know they release their awards, we tried to not look at the All League Teams and highlight who stood out to us.

We had a great time at Fatheads welcoming Ty for his first cut with us! Tyler isn’t just a Tennessee Vol, he’s a homegrown East Tennessee talent from Tazewell, TN. 🍊⚾️

And if you know baseball… you know this guy can absolutely hit for power. 🔥

At Walters State, Tyler put together a legendary season, earning 2025 NJCAA Player of the Year honors AND the Triple Crown, while posting a jaw-dropping .484 average with 31 homers and 110 RBIs 💣😳

He then made his way to Rocky Top and continued making noise, finishing his first D1 season with a .247 average, .801 OPS, and 3 home runs, including a monster 434-foot walk-off blast vs. Kent State that lit up Lindsey Nelson Stadium! 🔥

We love seeing East Tennessee guys bring that kind of energy to the Vols. 🍊

Tyler, welcome to the Fatheads family! We appreciate you stopping in and can’t wait to have you back in the chair! 💈#barber #knoxville #baseball #gbo🍊
