Another Sunday means more music…ambient midnight coffee table session with heavy “post-pop” vibes (does that really exists as a genre? 🤔) with plenty of glitchy drums and cinematic evolving pads…

Trying out the new OPXY update with the amazing Drumline synth and the dynamic filter (such a tasty tasty distortion 🫠🫠🫠) … my dream synth keeps getting better and better! @tngjonas this is truly a work of art!

Vocals from the amazing @lilyjewelmusic

Demo time! New firmware! 🎉

Aight, kids are at school, let’s remix @madmcferrin (imo one of the purest voices out) using only tools provided by the @teenageengineering #OPXY 1.2 update.

Madison McFerrin - Ain’t it Nice (my #OPXY remix)

New OPXY 1.2 firmware
Drumline - new 🔥 drum synth on percussion. Along with new Dynamic Filter on drums

#tp7 - on acapella duty

10/16 update: here’s the patches for the sounds. It’s apart of the new sound pack released today.

C sonic deep a- bass patch, part of the new DC sound pack (according to his notes this should be created with the CS-50)

Tounge soft- gorgeous multi sampled keys patch, from DC sound pack (couldn’t find what this was made with in his notes, but it’s awesome).

Disclaimer: Also used one acoustic cymbal and there’s a cash register scanner sample thing near the end.

The new sound pack is just really that good. @douglascarr111 is the creator and a buddy of the lead dev for the XY and clearly obvious he knows what he’s doing. Every sample and custom preset was meticulously done. Each one sounds better than the next and I highly recommend reading his provided rtf. Just reading his notes alone I already knew it was gonna be a good one.

Finally, if you didn’t hear already, multitrack via usb is here with this update. I’m sure others will be talking about that more part so info will be out there. 🎉

Big cheers 🍻 to the main product owner @tngjonas . Really amazing developer. Absolutely beast. 🐐

Interpretation of this amazing song by the talented @billieeilish

Everything recorded, played and sequenced on the OPXY totally dawless, this little machine never ceases to amaze me! 🔥

The most challenging part of this was trying to trigger the vocal samples on time, the 20sec sample limit makes really difficult to layer whole lyrics, but I’m pretty happy with the result, - but please @tngjonas add onboard sample management on future updates, and a new audio playback instrument that allows us to use longer samples! 🫣🫣🫣

(sound) autumn evening garden jam - raw video filmed by very carefully rotating my camera by hand !!
.
shot on iphone 17 pro, music made moments before the video was taken - on my op-xy - and heard through the chilly, evening air of the garden - playing from my ob-4 (both of those music-tools are made by my friends at @teenageengineering ♥️♥️)
.
this started as just a quick jam i made to play with the new sidechain/ducking functionality added recently to the op-xy. great work on that update @tngjonas !! best in the game
