POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The crew at @TNStandard shared their plumbing tips. Naturally, I had a few opinions nobody asked for.
Credit where it’s due—these guys know their way around a service call. Go give them a follow. Tell ’em Rick sent you. They’ll probably let you follow anyway.

It was a record day yesterday (Wednesday) and we're likely to tie or break the records again today!
But....
Remember, a cold front tomorrow will tank our temps by nearly 30° by Saturday and potentially giving us our first bout of frost Sunday morning!

@tnstandard is locally owned and operated by Kelton Balka, a fifth generation master plumber. He is a big believer in taking care of his customers which is why Tennessee Standard has thousands of five star reviews. If you’ve got an annoying plumbing issue, give him a call or book online on his website, he’d love to help you out.

IT'S A RECORD YEAR!
I'm talking the lack of hurricanes this year.
Did you know that we normally would have had about 5 hurricanes so far in the Atlantic Basin. And just today we have our very first.
But, don't let your guard down as hurricane season continues through November 30th.

We’re excited to officially welcome @tnstandard to the eastTNweather family! 🎉

One thing I’ve learned while building eastTNweather is that it takes local businesses supporting local businesses for all of us to grow. That’s what makes partnerships like this so important.

When a local company chooses to advertise with eastTNweather, they’re not just buying advertising — they’re helping support a locally owned business that’s working every day to serve East Tennessee. And in return, we get to help introduce our audience to another great local business. We grow together. 🧡
A huge THANK YOU to Tennessee Standard Plumbing for believing in what we’re building and supporting local weather coverage across East Tennessee.
Welcome to the eastTNweather family! 👏

Local supporting local. Growing together.

Happy 31st Birthday, Kelton (one day late)! I got so excited when I began to research the meaning of your name! It’s such a fitting description of you; God definitely gave your parents insight as they chose it! It has a British & Scottish origin, & it means “keel town,” a seaside town where settlers made keels for sailing boats. That might not seem like a significant thing until you look up what a keel is & what its function is. “It acts as the backbone of the boat & is absolutely essential for keeping the vessel upright, preventing it from tipping over, & stopping it from being pushed sideways by the wind. It provides stability & lift.” When you apply this description in a spiritual sense, it’s a perfect description of YOU! You’re so wise, mature, well-rounded, focused, determined, skilled, thoughtful, & helpful. You are leadership material through & through, & you want to please God in your life, your family, & your business… & in the process, it’s easy to see how you bring stability in the lives of all those around you, keeping them balanced & upright. Your middle name Edward is also a mirror of your life, having an Old English origin, it means “wealthy guardian” or “prosperous protector.” We know that our true riches are not earthly riches, but are rather, the riches of God’s grace & His gift of eternal life. Your life as a protector & guardian, points people to that truth- the only real hope & help! Thank you for being such an incredible son-in-law, husband, father, friend, business man, & Christian! ❤️

At WPRP, we believe no widowed parent should have to navigate life's challenges alone.

Recently, through a referral from WPRP, local widow Katie received a much-needed leak detection and prevention system for her home at no cost. After facing ongoing plumbing issues, this gift brought peace of mind and practical support during a difficult season.

We're incredibly grateful to @tnstandard and @atomicelectricservice for generously donating their time, expertise, and resources to serve Katie. Their willingness to step in and help is a beautiful example of what happens when a community comes together around widowed families.

This is more than a home repair. It's a reminder that widowed parents are seen, valued, and supported.

Thank you to our community partners for helping us provide hope, relief, and encouragement when it matters most. 🤍
