After a sold-out, 1000 cap London show that reminded me what a rap performance can be at its most intimate, one of the most intelligent and inspirational artists I’ve worked with spoke with one of the most thoughtful young journalists in the game. The interview on Zoom whilst JID was in the Delta lounge in NYC turned into a deep dialogue on the mission to keep his fan relationship pure, the legacy of black culture, Atlanta as a constant incubator of greatness - and how Alex Turner and Little Dragon continue to inspire his writing. A dream connect that brought it back to the essence of why music and its greatest artists are so important. JID for Dazed. Thanks to @sp.mcc Images @satin.heart/ Neri

To celebrate the release of their highly-anticipated second album The Silhouettes Project Volume 2, the sprawling Hackney alt/ jazz rap collective treated friends and family to a night of musical excellence on the 10th floor of the Standard Hotel in London, in collaboration with iconic NYC apparel brand Champion and Lucid Publicity. It saw artists, writers and community activists all mingle to a live PA and electric guitar set from various members of the collective, with the artists wearing selections from Champion’s Reverse Weave line.
