Made this video when I had just arrived in Berlin, a little under two months ago now. There are two experiments happening here:

1. Two bows - which is possibly somewhat unhinged 🙃 but I’m eager to explore this technique more with the dpa and contact mic set up I usually have, reckon there could be something to it (the ‘squeak’ factor of the over-the-bridge sound is something that needs tweaking for sure 😝)
2. Two binaural mics - this recording was made with @toddandersonkunert 👂👂 binaural microphones!! If you’re interested, go check out Todd’s page, they look super cool too!
I’ll be using these mics for some more recording now I’ve got my studio properly set up, so stay tuned!

Thanks to @toddandersonkunert for sending me one of his ‘listen’ dual contact microphone devices. Tried it with some peas and delay. Simple and solid, and the two output solution is quite handy for sending into different effects.

Went to a wicked exhibition in my new fav store

Hovered awkwardly for a bit, bought some cool stuff, did some late night thrifting, came home & did some noise noodling, posted some stuff.

Not bad for a Thursday night

For anyone I’ve forgotten to tell, I’m now back in Melbourne for good. 👋🏻
