If my personality were a shop...🤣💞

When we got to Franschhoek on Monday, I told the kids I wanted to buy something pink as a little memento. (If you know me, you know I'm OBSESSED with pink!). Then I walked into @toffanddandy and apparently my entire personality was available for sale!

The pink. The colours. The EVERYTHING. 😍 OBSESSED.
* Keep scrolling to see what came home with me to Cape Town.🛍️👀

📍 Found in Franschhoek.
How incredible when you find a single piece that can change the entire feeling of a room.

These colourful, handmade lamps from @toffanddandy do exactly that. Bright, playful and completely unique, they bring a little bit of art, summer and personality into any space. 🌈

For those who love colour, beautiful things and interiors with a little character, these are such a special find.

Found around a corner, here in the village. Come and visit!

📍 Save this itinerary for your next morning in Franschhoek.

Start at the @huguenot_museum_franschhoek and take some time to explore the grounds and discover a little of the village’s history.

From there, wander through the village, browse the local boutiques and take in the beautiful historic streets.

Leave some time to simply wander, stop for a coffee at @getlostcoffee_sa , and explore some of Franschhoek’s wonderful art galleries.

A little history, a little shopping, good coffee, art and plenty of time to wander.

Save this for your next Franschhoek morning. ⛰️✨

Maybe we’re just travelling like millennials. 😏
Choosing the tiny town over the trending destination.
The local recommendation over the viral itinerary.
The independent restaurant over the Instagram-famous one.
And sometimes, the place closer to home over another expensive European holiday.
We like travel that leaves a little room for curiosity.
Slow travel. Local experiences. Hidden gems. Good food. Places that haven’t been packaged for everyone yet.
And we’re learning that travelling well isn’t necessarily about seeing more. It’s about paying more attention to where you are — listening to locals, trying something unfamiliar, supporting small businesses and letting a place change your mind.
Because not everything worth discovering is trending.
Especially in South Africa. 🇿🇦
This is our kind of chic.
