Àṣírí Ọ̀dòdó -The Mystery of Flowers
With Àṣírí Ọ̀dòdó, I wanted to create more than just a portrait of a woman surrounded by flowers. I wanted to tell a story about femininity, nature, culture, and the hidden beauty that exists within African identity.
The flowers in this piece represent growth, resilience, transformation, and the different layers of a woman’s journey. The blooming flower replacing her face represents the mystery of the feminine spirit, a reminder that a woman’s true beauty goes beyond appearance, living within her strength, emotions, experiences, and the stories she carries.
Inspired by African heritage and the power of nature, I used flowers, birds, and butterflies as symbols of freedom, evolution, and becoming. Àṣírí Ọ̀dòdó is my tribute to women, delicate yet powerful, constantly blooming, and carrying a beauty that is beyond what the eyes can see.

FEMME PÉTALE- With this piece, I wanted to explore the beauty, strength, and transformation that exist within womanhood. Femme Pétale represents a woman as a living garden….delicate like a petal, yet powerful like nature itself. Every flower, color, and butterfly in this artwork reflects growth, freedom, resilience, and the many layers that make up the feminine identity.
Through this work, I celebrate women not only as subjects of beauty, but as creators, storytellers, and forces of change in the world of modern art. The fusion of the human form with nature speaks of becoming, blooming, and embracing every stage of transformation.
To me, Femme Pétale is a reminder that every woman carries an inner garden….a place of beauty, strength, and endless possibilities waiting to blossom.

ARTSMAN IN LISBON(HEAVY IS THE HEAD SHOW) Till 7-11-2025.
Heavy is the head that carries the Journey.
I made this piece here in Lisbon, at my solo exhibition in residence with @thisisnotawhitecube. It continues my Artsman the Traveler series - inspired by Ajala the Traveler, whose story reminds me that movement is not escape but discovery.
The first chapter began in France, at the ancient amphitheater in Arles. That was where I first stood as Artsman, surrounded by history and silence. Now in Lisbon, I sit before the National Pantheon carrying home in my fabrics, in my colors, in the weight of my headpiece.
In Yoruba belief, the Ori the head holds destiny. To carry it high is to honor who you are and where you come from. That is the heart of this work, and of my exhibition,

I’m very glad to have received the @embassyofnigeriaportugal Embassy of Nigeria in Portugal during my exhibition. Their presence reminds me what this journey truly means carrying our roots with pride, and seeing them recognized beyond borders.
