It’s a good time to have expensive taste and a small bank balance 🍣💳

🍽️ TOKii
✨ Japanese
🤑 50% off food with TheFork

Sometimes restaurants come along as part of TheFork Festival which feel too good to be true, and @tokiilondon is definitely one of them 💯

Located in Mayfair, this is one very special Japanese restaurant. Scoring 9 out of 10 by fellow diners on TheFork, we recently got to experience first-hand exactly why. With the most divine sushi and meats straight from the robata-grill, knowing about TOKii will put you in your date’s very good books.

The most exciting bit we get to tell you - you can get 50% off food here when you book with TheFork right now, so you can indulge in dreamy sushi and sashimi without worrying about a text from your bank.

Share this with your next sushi date and get the @thefork_uk app locked and loaded 📲

♡ Places that made my birthday in London extra special

👘 1. The Prince Akatoki London @theprinceakatokilondon
A stylish and cozy Japanese-inspired hotel. They even give you a kimono to wear as a robe! And the restaurant at the hotel is absolutely delicious @tokiilondon

☕️ 2. EL&N London @elan_cafe
A popular London cafe chain that you can now find in many countries! Beautiful, delicious and very Instagrammable.

🖼️🍽️ 3. Sketch @sketchlondon
A trendy gallery and restaurant! Such a creative place with so many Instagrammable spots inside. Even the bathrooms are an experience (sorry 🙊) - each toilet cubicle looks like an egg! Delicious, expensive (of course 😁), but I was there for a special occasion. And you can come here not only for actual food, but for some food for the soul too😋

Have an amazing trip to London! ♡

A little afternoon escape at @tokiilondon inside @theprinceakatokilondon 🍰✨

The menu beautifully brings together British afternoon tea classics with Japanese-inspired flavours. From traditional scones to matcha cranberry scones and delicate savoury bites with touches of yuzu and wasabi. There’s also a wonderful selection of both British and Japanese teas, with the option to elevate the experience with Japanese sake or Veuve Clicquot Champagne. 🥂

And of course, the vegan afternoon tea offers its own plant-based take on this elegant East-meets-West experience. A beautiful way to slow down, sip tea and treat yourself in the heart of London.

Would you try a vegan afternoon tea in London? ☕️🥐🌱

🇯🇵 Japan wasn’t the destination for my yearly trip with my sister @moniglass but somehow it kept finding us anyway.

It began at the Danish Design Museum with exhibitions dedicated to #Hokusai and Japan Modern Posters, followed by beautiful shelves of Japanese-inspired books at ARKET.

Back in London, the thread continued with a staycation at The Prince Akatoki (which deserves a post of its own soon), discovering kenzan, the traditional spiked flower holders used in ikebana, at the incredible Niwaki garden shop in Marylebone. We also found out they host ikebana workshops there, which I’m hoping to attend one day. It continued with a Japanese-inspired afternoon tea, plenty of green tea, and a traditional asa-gohan breakfast at TOKii. 🍵🪷👘

Maybe I’m one step closer to finally making that trip happen in the next year or two. 🎎

Until then, these little pockets of Japan are filling in the gaps and gently scratching that itch. Sometimes a place has a way of finding you long before you ever find it. Somehow, that makes finally getting there feel even more special. 🤍
