As we viewed @academymuseum’s exhibition, Regeneration: Black Cinema 1898-1971, we thought about Film’s role in becoming a tool to imitate reality instead of purely for entertainment. For us, actualizing our dreams into real life is what we do it for and it’s because of those who came before us that we can explore opportunities to express who we are today 💫

Thank you to our artists, @louisliv and @goodjobtyler_ for being the superstars that you are and to everyone who came by to this successful 3-day celebration! Thank you for The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures for having us and @onraelateal for connecting us all to make it happen 🤝🏾

10PM THURSDAY AUGUST 25th, we are stepping into a new vision of the future.

We’re throwing a party w Cult Dj’s @kene.o @ashleyyounnia @toksuno and @slowlikewhoa 🚀

Hosted by @ysneaklife and @jessiethedirector

So you know what the vibes are! 🪐💃🏾✨

Fantastic Planet (the party) is an ode to one of my favorite sci-fi animations La Planète Sauvage, directed by Rene Laloux, about the human species who collide with alien creatures on a strange planet.

This movie addresses important themes such as coexistence and intention. We’re excited to bring this energy to life in a new space as a curated event series.

The genre is AFROFUTURISTIC

Come to dance
Come to exchange beautiful energy
But most importantly come to enjoy yourself!

RSVP link in @fantasticplnt bio for address

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone! ✨🫠
