Parkfield 1 - 1 Wadhurst

Story of the season, just cannot kill a game off

We took the lead midway through the first half after a lovely finish by @joesmith10011 rounding the Wadhurst Keeper in the process

We came close to doubling our lead many times but like so many other times this season, we just couldn’t get the job done

Credit to Wadhurst, they pushed us hard in the second half, with a lot of our players on their last legs after playing midweek & they finally got their reward equalising with the last kick of the game

1 game to go in a very disappointing season, let’s finish it on a high note, away to Westfield next week

MOTM - @peterkelly64 solid defensive display once again

Shoutout to @james.graham.93 again going in the Net rather than up the top of the pitch, outstanding again

Parkfield 0 - 0 Seaford Town II
*Seaford Win On Penalties

We unfortunately bow out of the Vice Presidents Cup in the Semi Final after a loss on penalties to Seaford Town II

A proper game of football, played in the right way by both sides. The scoreline doesn’t tell the story, far from a bore draw, it was a full on battle for the full 90 minutes.

Seaford could’ve taken the lead midway through the second half if it wasn’t for some heroics from the Parkfield back 5 with multiple goal line clearances and some excellent keeping by stand-in Goalkeeper (Striker) James Graham.

We had chances of our own to nick it late on, but just weren’t clinical enough in front of goal.

Every single player gave everything and put in a hell of a shift

Congratulations to @seafordtownfc & good luck in the Final

MOTM - @peterkelly64 - 3 goal line clearances and an all round solid defensive display
But in all honesty, it could’ve gone to anyone, especially the other 4 of the back 5 - Ellis, Nuckhir, Nolan & Graham

Job done, back to back wins, hopefully starting to build a bit of momentum

MOTM - Joe Smith, proper shift in the middle of the park! Winning the ball back, driving the team forward all game. Good work @joesmith10011

Tough game away at Wadhurst ended in a 4-2 defeat

With 7 players missing, and a few injuries occurring during the game it didn’t help matters. But, that’s not shying away from the fact we started far too slowly and were nowhere near good enough for the first 60 minutes of the game.

In the end we created enough chances to get something out of the game but just couldn’t find that final product

Onto next week, when we have Ninfield away in the cup

MOTM - @joesmith10011 who was brilliant down the right wing

A tough opening game of the season away at a strong Catsfield side ended all square

A customary Jim Graham goal midway through the second half was soon cancelled out by the hosts as both sides had chances to win the game

Now the rust is off, we move onto Little Common Away next week

MoM - Calum Nolan

We topped off a title winning season with a victory away at Catsfield.

With a very depleted squad due to injuries, and our top goal scorer @james.graham.93 having to don the net, everybody dug deep and put in a hell of a shift to come away with a fantastic win.

@tom.ellis70 was fantastic at RB and deservedly gets MOTM.

I’ll get a bit more emotional in our season awards post in a fortnight but for now I’ll just say, what a season and what a bunch of lads.
