Taking a look back at this special moment from last year. Realizing how lucky I was to spend two years surrounded by so many incredibly talented and creative people. Moving across the world to chase filmmaking was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, but it became one of the best. No joke though—it wasn’t easy. I came to film school knowing no one. I struggled through writing classes with broken English, adapted to a completely new environment, worked different jobs while taking a full course load, and had more than a few moments when I almost gave up. But I’m so glad I didn’t. I still remember what Professor O’Brian said about film school: “Buildings don’t make you a filmmaker. People do.” Looking back, I couldn’t agree more. Every class I took, every professor, every classmate, and every person I met left a little light in my heart. Each of them taught me something and shaped who I am today—not only as an artist, but as a person. I’m incredibly grateful to have had the chance to tell stories, collaborate with amazing people, and be part of so many meaningful projects. Every set taught me something new, and every crew became a family, even if only for a few days. Thank you to everyone who embraced me on this journey and made a place feel like home. Here’s to the creative life we’re all chasing, and to the stories still waiting to be told. Cheers. P.S.
