Our neighbours Tomas and Joaquim are here at the shop sharing some joint creativity with Tomas playing the slide guitar and Joaquim selling his handmade bunnies outside our shop in the sunshine. 🌞 Love our little community here on the 7 Dials.

10 unposed moments from weddings! Which is your favourite?

The unscripted, inbetween parts of a wedding are what really tell the story. I absolutely love getting those "caught off guard" photos, because they just so naturally portray the joy of a wedding day. In between the "wow" moments of your wedding, you'll find me zipping around trying to capture as many of these unposed moments as possible 📸🫶

More prep for our 1st Exhibition ‘Mexi-Arte’ Nov. 1-5th at @gallery40 Brighton. Free Entry.

💌 This show a love letter to celebrate the beauty, colour, and spirit that is Mexico & it’s culture!

Today we are getting bespoke frames for these fantastic & original Mexican cinema posters from 1951!

We are curating the exhibition on behalf of Philippe Mercer and most items are highly collectable and amazing examples of traditional forms of arts and crafts from Mexico that were the personal collection collected over a his lifetime with his husband Miguel Ravago. I am excited to share more about their story and these pieces journey to arrive here in Brighton when you come by the exhibition!

Hi Cacti is also creating a community ‘Ofrenda’ which is a Day of the Dead altar within the gallery. So please feel free to come by and spread the word and learn more about the Mexican tradition of honoring & celebrating loved ones lives through their passing. Photos or a token symbolic item are welcome to be placed on our ofrenda in memory & an incense lit to guide their spirit to know you are honouring their life. 🧡🏵️🧡🏵️

Hope to see you all then!

Baby's first reel! (And another excuse to listen to @kathleenfrancesmusic).
🙌
Thought I'd record a very sped up edit on @lightroommobile of one of my favourite shots of @younna_jing from her and @studiotomas' wedding last month. We took this quite late in the day (just before first dance if I recall) in the garden of @cafe_rust so the light is nice and moody. I do love that my couple's just trust that I've asked them to stand in a bush a reason and I'm not just messing with them.
🌿
Among other things I've brightened the shadows on her face and arms, removed some dust specs and made the edge of frame slightly darker to draw focus to the subject. Times that by 500 and you get why the editing process takes as long as it takes.
😅
Anyone else braving the world of reels? Anyone else have no idea what they're doing?
