She's weary from the heavy fight

Happy new week dear furriends. Since I was a very smol boy the mornings have always been my favorite, special time but these days they are even more special because each dawn means another day with my precious Daddy. The evil tree trimmers have finally finished their dark deeds so mornings are peaceful and i hear the ducklings with their timy, squeaky quack/peeps the doves cooing and the crows calling Mom asking for a peanut party 🥜 The ALALA (crow) family are so special to Mom because 16 years ago a large crow befriended Mom . He used to sit on the ledge of the balcony lanai garden with my angel brofur Kimo and eat hamburger balls. He brought his fanily year after year and even though Alala flew over the rainbow bridge when I was very young, his family still visits

Today's Hawaii photo is a golden Oahu sunrise. Although Hawaii is famous for spectacular sunsets the sunrises are equally breathtaking. It's such a peaceful way to begin the day. There's optimism every time you see the sun peek over the horizon

The mist hangs thick along the bend
The trail is blurred and new

It's Thoughtful Thursday and I have been reflecting on the tremendous, endless love amd support my family has recieved from my IG ohana, even some i haven't heard from in ages have reached out privately. The future is uncertain and so scary ( Mom is worried sick) but I am so grateful for all the wonderful relationships I hsve here.

Its #purrsforshadow day @besarmerah and I have temporarily paused the Thursday #foreverlovedfurriend features while we navigate Daddy's hospice journey. The features are a labor of love and will definitely continue as soon as Mom and I have the emotional bandwidth to give the angels the tributes they deserve. In the meantime you are most welcome to get your angels on the list. Thank you for understanding.

Today we are remembering Angel Baby @janbabysiamese 4/5/06-3/16/25. The manager of the market Meowmy shopped at had found a tiny 2-3 month old kitten . He put her in a big box and told the cashier to be on the lookout for Meowmy. When she came in he brought out the box and told her she might like what was inside. Despite being a bit frightened she took a peek and there was Angel Baby meowing and of COURSE she was adopted on the spot. She loved to sleep on her back and relax in the funniest, most adorable way. She adored playing fetch over and over with her mouse toys and her loved the toys her IG furriends sent to her. A fruit connoisseur, she loved watermelon 🍉, honeydew and cantaloupe. She also liked to have a lick of Meowmy's orange 🍊 slices. Like most of us she loved churus, detectable and temptations treats. Not a lady to be pushed around when ex-catdad yelled at her she'd yell right back at him! She absolutely adored her Meowmy and was always the best nurse/companion whenever Meowmy was ill. Meowmy just had a serious surgery and she feels Angel Baby's spirit watching over her; in fact just before her surgery she had dreams of her and some toys popped out of some folded shirts. She's making sure Meowmy feels her lasting love. Angel Baby had a wonderful life and she shared her love and happiness with all of her furriends; her joy amd gentle spirit shone through in all her photos . She made us all smile every time we saw her beautiful face. You truly were an Angel and we will never forget you.

Each week on Shadow's day we honor the life of a #foreverlovedfurriend , a special angel whose light burns 🔥 bright in our hearts and memories. The first memorial of the year is so dear to my heart @casper_bonz 9/11/05-3/8/24. Casper was an extraordinary soul and he had an exceptional life with a furriendship that was truly magical. He was adopted at 8 weeks old from Mulberry Farm and raised by 3 cat brofurs ; he even washed his face like a cat! A true connoisseur, he was a picky eater who double sniffed everything. When Mama's partner , who was from Hong Kong gave him Char Sui Bao ( pork bun-we call them manapua in Hawaii) He loved it!! He loved all Chinese food so much his pawrents believe he was Chinese in another life . A chance meeting in a park at age 8 with @motathepup led to a lifelong bond. At age 10 Casper got jaw cancer and had part of his jaw removed. He couldn't figure out how to get his favorite ball but Mota helped him. Mota helped him learn to swim too. Casper loved him so much and always race to protect him if he thought Mota was being threatened. He loved adventures and meeting new people, he loved everyone and they loved him... his eyes radiated compassion and kindness like I've never seen before. A life of love, eating aged English aged cheddar cheese, Japanese crispy chicken and being painted by the renowned street artist @copycat.original ( that's how I met him!) Aside from cancer , he overcame IBD, abdominal surgery and pancreatitis before crossing the rainbow 🌈 bridge at 18.5 years old. He lives on in beautiful videos on his page along with cat brofurs adorable Louie and Rolo. Please follow and support this beautiful family, I know Casper will be so proud.

Each week on Shadow's day we honor the memory of a #foreverlovedfurriend, a special angel whose light 🕯️ burns bright in our hearts. Today we remember one of my besties Mufasa @grumpert_the_cat . Mufasa was a regal, elegant gentleman who was 19.5 when he crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge Sept 13. A wonderful furriend, he was always the first to show up on #alohafridaywithkaipo , bringing along my sweetie Twyla and even the gerbils!! He was his Meowmy's soul cat, her first foster fail from the shelter she volunteers at. He came from a hoarding situation and was an asthma warrior using an inhaler daily. He loved his toy mice and the stick end of the wand toy. Super clever, he figured out how to bust into the timed feeder and devoured all 6 portions!! He was also a supermodel, posing for his shelters calendar. He and brofur Rupert helped Meowmy read to children on ZOOM during Covid. He loved to give hugs and you can see he adored laying by Meowmy. On his last earthly day he spent the morning lying on the pillow with Meowmy in anticipation of his annual vet checkup but he went into the bathroom and went to heaven. He enjoyed every minute of his final days doing all his usual things. A life well lived and well loved by all who knew him. His fur siblings all miss him especially Alexis , be sure to follow them and send extra love I'm so honored to have been your buddy Mufasa. I'll never forget you. I know you and Meowmy love Hawaii so you get a DOUBLE rainbow 🌈 today.

🤍🙏🏻 A Prayer for Our Beloved Furriends Across the Rainbow Bridge 🌈✨

Tonight, under the soft hush of Tulsa’s stars and the gentle hum of memory, I whisper a prayer stitched with love, longing, and eternal gratitude—for the cherished souls who once curled beside us, healed us with their purrs, and made our lives infinitely brighter. Who once graced our lives with whiskered kisses, velvet paws, and the kind of magic only kitties can conjure.

To Paddy, Olafur, Frank, Chewy, Badassbeachcat, Misty, Fritter, Bruiser, Doonie, Tom Brady, Phantom, and Nelson—you were more than companions. You were storytellers, mischief-makers, healers, and heartbeats. Though some of you weren’t mine by name, you were mine in spirit. I loved you as my own, and I always will.

And to my cherished babies Tennessee, Saki, Drummy, Jasper, Stella, and Mittens, you are the roots of my heart, the stars in my sky, the reason I believe in forever love.

🕯️ May you all rest in a meadow of endless sunbeams, where tuna flows like rivers and every nap is cradled by angels. May your spirits dance together in joy, chasing butterflies made of dreams, and may you feel our love stretch across time and space, wrapping you in warmth.

And to the devoted parents, those who held you close, who still whisper your name into the wind, who feel your absence like a missing limb this prayer is for you too. I see your love. I feel your grief. I honor your bond.

On Shadow's day we honor the memory of a beloved #foreverlovedfurriend, a special angel whose light 🕯️ continues to burn bright in our hearts and memories 🌈 Today we remember everypawty's favorite garden queen Zora @zora_da_lazy_cat who left us in early August this year.As Zora's Meowmy put it purrfectly Zora was a tiny cat with a GREAT BIG LIFE STORY. She started her life just down the street from her forever home where she was bullied by the other cat. She found her way to her Meowmy for frequent snuggles and treats. One freezing winter when she 6 years old she escaped and made her way to her home and cried that she had chosen her TRUE family and that was it!! A year and a half later the original owner showed up trying to take her back -as if!!! 😾No way!! She spent 17 blissful years enjoying cheese and fish from the neighborhood fish 🐟 cart on fishy purrsdays ( I think we need that here) A busy girl she loved overseeing her beautiful garden giving fabulous furr-dos for special events at her @zorasfurrstudio and of course being the originator and conductor of #kittiespeacetrain✌️ supporting Ukraine 🇺🇦💙💛 every day since the war began. And of course she made time for serious napping and lap warming .As her health declined she couldn't enjoy the things she loved and so in her favorite spot on Meowmy's lap and with Catdad at her side , she gently flew over the rainbow 🌈 bridge. Her legacy lives on as her furriends 🌻 still ride the peace train 🚂 in her honor. She sent a little brofur named Ziggy to look after her pawrents, please follow and watch his journey unfold. It was my honor to know you , you are loved and missed. Kauai is the garden isle and this rainbow at Hanalei is just for you.

Things are looking up furriends!! It's a new month , it's Labor Day holiday here in the US
and my Daddy is home!! We spent the day together Sunday catching up, sharing chicken 🍗 and watching football 🏈 It was a VERY good day.

I FINALLY took pictures with my happy mail 📬 from @msnelsondonnal . George's person Donna whom I love so much ( she always spoils me) went to CATCON and she sent me some fabulous treats, catnip toys and a very cool Catcon 2025 collectible pin which I had to show off on my vintage @chuckandsophiacollection bandana. This has always been one of my favorites, it reminds me of cooler weather. I am basically waiting for fall 🍁🍂 and spooky season, Mom says she already has costume ideas!!
