It's my pleasure to say a few words about three more selections from our Best of Four Years release, with three very special wulves.

The Pack Survives - APHE. I remember wondering when someone might do something for us sort of wolf-themed, and when Flo told me his EP for us was Game of Thrones inspired, I thought, what an awesome cool idea. "The lone wolf dies...the pack survives." For me this had such deep meaning for our label. And wow, the track is such a cool, eerie deep and dark groover. I can just imagine in my wolf mind's eye - hunting for fresh kill through a dark and mysterious forest and howling at the moon. A stomping minimal groove with a pulsing atmospheric pad filling the sonic space with mystery, fast shuffling hats, and a sneaking bass growl every 32 bars or so, like a savage snarl before the bite. Excellent tune.

Seeding - Kleiman. There's nobody that sounds quite like Gabriel Kleiman. This track was the perfect bloom of a flower seed sowed during pandemic times while being cooped up away from the live music world. A rolling bassline like a ship rocking the waves, and funky drum parts, and then comes this wood block percussion sound with delay that just rises and falls up and down up and down, spiraling madly, with psychedelic fx accenting the wildness of the groove, tastefully placed vocal samples speaking in Spanish during a breakdown that has a mega cool build filled with tension, before setting sail on the seas for more of Kleiman's trademark wild groove...this track is ripping and rolling and endlessly fun to listen to. 🔥

Cancel This - Tomchilla. We dearly miss our departed Tasmanian wulf, Thomas aka Tomchilla. And "Cancel This" is always going to be one of my favorite tracks of his I ever heard. I love this tune. An absolutely epic and proper example of a Busch Techno style tune. A shuffling percussive groove with a pulsating synth bass that provides such a cool fun swing, I can never resist dancing to it immediately. Plus that Obama sample speaking of people casting stones on others calling it activism....this was so like Thomas, to use killer grooving music to say something cheeky and fit for the times. Genius. 👏

The next artist we are showcasing on the Aeschna EP is AutomatA. Aeschna is avail now for preorder and is released on Jan 5th…

With a futuristic approach to techno, Automata is a master of sonic manipulation. His intricate soundscapes and cutting-edge production techniques have garnered attention from techno enthusiasts worldwide. Be prepared to be transported to another dimension.
The word automata (the plural of automaton) comes from the Greek word αὐτόματος, which means “self-acting, self-willed, self-moving”..

The will to create and shape frequencies into reflections of self and the world around is what drives the sonic sequences of AutomatA. Expect to hear outlays of pure unfiltered conscious dribble and deep emotive motif’s to accompany the hammering heartbeat of the machine.
