POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s been head down - face shield on - and turning drawings into real things that exist in the world
I am thrilled and a little shit scared to share - I have my first solo show in three years coming up in less than a month

I will be showing at @passagegallery
October 9th

This work has come from the most tremendous year of Saturn return extremism
All of the biggest feelings, major life transitions, love lost, connections strengthened - it’s all there
Making this work has been a port in a storm in many ways - and I am grateful to the sparks constantly flying past my face.

The first pro photo is taken by my dear friend @tomdenize <3 capturing some of the making process of this work

Still haven’t landed on a title that’s sticking - stay tuned

‘The power went to my head… with a little budget and a long leash, un turned me into a kind of lord of independent arts publishing’. Victoria Perin reflects on her time as the un Extended Editor-in-Residence 2025-26, now live online. 📝

Perin takes us through the importance of having a peer-to-peer platform, the precarity of funding, the pairing of young artists with young writers and their personal relationships.

Her reflection touches on the 10 pieces Perin commissioned and edited over 2025-26, and her symposium ‘Enduring Experimental Poets' — the threads become clear. Ultimately Perin’s EiR pieces leave many questions for future local arts historians to unpick whether it be; how does one archive a local arts scene that was always meant to be ephemeral in nature, and what is the thread between local ARIs and the kind of conspiratorial and enthusiastic scholarship of ‘The Crank’.

Stigmergy’s next node is a group chat turned artist collective.

Group Chat Bait Endtime Chorus Line was assembled by Andrea Illés (@_purple_stars_expleting_) specifically for this exhibition. This insanely talented group is made up of 17 artists working in performance, sound, film and video across Australia and Europe, all contributing to the show with various digital works.

These artists work with movement, presence and end-user tech to explore power and surveillance and image-making together as an act of resistance. Running through their contribution is dreem1, a speculative narrative about a collective loss of the ability to dream.
