🎾 Casa Axis International Open 🎾✨ That was a blast!

The first edition of the Casa Axis International Open brought together a group of artists for a tennis tournament unlike any other: no rankings, no expectations, just creativity, competition and a lot of unexpected moments. The concept is simple yet brilliant. Artists compete on the court, and the winner gets the opportunity to redesign it for the next edition.

Hosted by @felipepantone at @casaaxis outside Valencia, the tournament took place on an incredible custom court designed by @mrka, making every match unpredictable and seriously fun to watch. Partnered with @lacoste

It was amazing to spend the weekend surrounded by so many talented artists, discover the exhibition curated by @proshop_nyc featuring pieces from the Muñoz Collection and Lacoste Heritage archives.

Congrats to @mrka for taking the win and defending the title 🏆 Can’t wait to see what you create for next year’s court.

C.A.I.O 2026 was one for the books!! 🏆
Two days of tennis, art, heat, frustration, community, and very questionable technique at Casa Axis. 
Huge thanks to everyone who came, played, laughed, shouted, missed easy shots, and made the first Casa Axis International Open feel historic.

When @felipepantone asks you to join a crazy tennis tournament at his studio in Valencia you just immediately jump on the first plane with no questions asked 🙌🏻

Happy to be part of this crazy beautiful tennis tournament @casaaxis International open last weekend 🎾 being able to play tennis with some of the best in the community is beautiful way of getting to know each other and sharing story’s 🤍 in partnership with @lacoste and @proshop_nyc

Unfortunately I got kicked out in the first round already by @tomguilmard but it happened to be the best thing that could’ve happens cause we became besties immediately after 💕Much love for you Tom you’re a legend VAAAAMOSSSS

The final blog post is up on the website. It gets quite deep but I needed to give this whole project context. It would mean the world to me if you took the time to read and if you do I really hope you enjoy it and perhaps share it with someone you know who might need it. Thanks to everyone involved in this ridiculous idea from start to finish, every phone call, every game of tennis, every comment, every email and every opportunity has truly meant so much to me. The trip is over but the project isn’t - I’ve still been playing people and I have more blogs lined up so yer, reach out if you want a game or you just want a chat. Remember to love yourself in 2026 - see you on court 🫂

I found this clip while going through my footage this evening from my last night in the van I hope you enjoy this small insight into my reflections and feelings about the project at that moment, I enjoyed watching it back. •it’s our birthday•

today marks cooked over coal’s 1st birthday, crazy how fast a year can just fly by, but I guess when you fill your time doing what you love around people you love time really does fly when your having fun eh.

a year or so ago I was pondering on the idea of this business, I had talked it through with a couple of friends over beers like it was some distant future plan I was working on, feeling like I was at the beginning of a huge mountain & the top was launching this idea, my business. one evening I remember being sat at home, it was miserable outside, i was getting frustrated that i couldn’t quite find the word to explain my vision, I felt like I had to launch this finished article that made sense to everyone, it felt like it was sucking the creativity & excitement out of me. the devil on my shoulder won & that night I registerd the buisness & went with the whole “it’s all about the journey” approach, because for me it is, it’s not about anyone else when you start something it’s about you being authentic & actually doing the shit you want to do, that’s the thing that shines, not the finished article.

anyway look here I am a year later, having no really plan with a lovely bunch of people who liked my idea & booked me to cook them some of my food. i’m so grateful! this first year we have done weddings, street food events, private dinners, student lead restaurant take over & of course a whole bunch of @we.are.wyld events. i’ve had some of the best feedback & watched people love the food that they are eating & sharing with friends & family, for me it’s been perfect.

if you scroll through these photos you will see a bunch of amazing people who have supported me, worked with me, laughed with me & sometimes dropped everything for me to make sure things run smooth. I am forever grateful for you people. without you guys cooked over coal wouldn’t be possible. thank you to anyone who has helped me this past year, seriously! 💚

now we look into a new year of business with some weddings, festivals & awesome collaborations all in the pipeline I can say im so excited, year two, let’s av it 🤙🏼
