POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I went and saw the film "Resident Evil" this evening. I really liked it! Resident Evil is a slick, thrilling, and bloody blast of a horror film with a twisted imagination, a loveable main character, genuinely terrifying jump scares, and armed with a shockingly humorous wit.

The superb script by Shay Hatten and director Zach Cregger tells a dark atmospheric tale of survival filled with non stop suspense and tension that moves at a fast pace.

Austin Abrams stars in a phenomenal charismatic performance. There are some really good performances from Kali Reis, Paul Walter Hauser, Zach Cherry, and Will Merrick.

The cinematography is impressive by Dariusz Wolski and it is accompanied by a cool score by Hays & Ryan Holladay. It's expertly edited by Joe Murphy and it has some crazy effects along with some great costume design, set decoration, art direction, and production design. Zach Cregger did a fantastic job directing this fun, chilling, and absolutely insane horror film that I would recommend.

Exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from RESIDENT EVIL, courtesy of production designer @tomhammockpd 🩸

Hammock worked as a virologist years ago, which informed how the film’s creatures got built. Tentacle and teeth details were pulled from the games, specifically Resident Evil 4 and 6.

The look of Raccoon City was designed off Resident Evil 2. Zach Cregger had custom Raccoon City manhole covers made (pictured in slide 2). The hospital set took roughly 500 gallons of fake blood.

When able, always go practical.

I watched the film "You're Next" last night. I really liked it! You're Next is an eerie, twisted, and brutal slasher flick filled with non-stop tension and suspense.

The really good script by Simon Barrett tells a gripping story of family, dysfunction, and survival with flawed characters, a dark, humorous wit, and some shocking twists and turns.

Sharni Vinson leads a great ensemble cast that includes AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, Nicholas Tucci, Amy Seimetz, Margaret Laney, Rob Moran, Barbara Crampton, Wendy Glenn, Ti West, L.C. Holt, Lane Hughes, Simon Barrett, Larry Fessenden, Kate Lyn Sheil, and Calvin Lee Reeder.

The cinematography is impressive by Andrew Droz Palermo, and it is accompanied by an awesome soundtrack and score by Mads Heldtberg, Jasper Lee, Kyle McKinnon, and director Adam Wingard. It's well-edited by Wingard and has some cool costume design, set decoration, art direction, and production design. Adam Wingard did a fantastic job directing this gritty, bloody, and exciting thrill ride that I would recommend.

I went and saw the film "Weapons" this afternoon. I really enjoyed it! Weapons is a bleak, freaky, and boldy original horror film that instantly grips you with its insane twists and turns.

The great script by director Zach Cregger tells a chilling story that is told in such a clever non-linear way. The film has a pensive heart, and the characters are pretty interesting as well. There are some genuinely unsettling thrills as well. It's a story of fear, the unknown, a parent's love, mental health, and addiction.

Josh Brolin leads a phenomenal ensemble cast that includes Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong, Cary Christopher, Toby Huss, Sara Paxton, Justin Long, June Diane Raphael, Whitmer Thomas, Callie Schuttera, Clayton Farris, and a scene-stealing Amy Madigan.

The cinematography is impressive by Larkin Seiple, and it is accompanied by a terrific score by Ryan Holladay, Hays Holladay, and Zach Cregger. It's masterfully edited by Joe Murphy, and it has some really cool costume design, set decoration, art direction, and production design. Zach Cregger did an excellent job directing this creepy, atmospheric, and compelling horror film that I would highly recommend.
