Rotary 7930 had a very inspirational World Peace and Understanding event this week. John Nanni, the featured speaker, is a polio survivor who was completely paralyzed with the polio virus at 10 months, just before the Salk vaccine became available. He eventually able to walk again, he now suffers from post Polio syndrome, atrophy of the muscles used to compensate for the damaged muscles. Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate Polio helps to spread peace and understanding across the globe.

We are so appreciative to RI President’s Aide Tom Gump for coming all the way from Minnesota to be our Keynote Speaker at our District Forum. Tom visited Marblehead Harbor Rotary this morning and Woburn Rotary at lunch. Tom is a phenomenal speaker and a true inspiration on how to approach member growth.
