29 years since our Dad, Ray, Raced his last race. 😢

He sadly lost his life while doing what he loved, racing his bikes at Olivers Mount, Scarborough.

In the last race of the Weekend, on his 500cc Gawthorpe Honda, he collided with Nick Jefferies on the approach to Farm Bends, and sadly died from the injuries he sustained..

We will never forget the love he had bikes and for racing. And its his passion for everything two wheeled that we carry with us today. With my brother @tomhardman living and working in Morzine, the European Mecca for Downhill mountain biking..
And me who carries on running his Exhaust business in his memory, where I try to put that passion into every Exhaust system that i make.. as its bears his name, and we both still want to do him proud, all these years later. ❤️ Where we are both older than he very was 😔

"Ray's Sons".. It's not just another Exhaust Place, its a journey of two young boys that lost their dad, and didnt want to give up on the thing that he loved.

I seem remember my mum saying, that dad once said, "If anything ever happens to me, dont blame the bike, as it won't be the bikes fault, it will be mine"

Thats how much he loved them. ❤️

Today is Ray Day, where we remember our Dad. Ray Hardman who sadly died doing what he loved, racing his Classic Bikes at Scarborough in 1997. And to celebrate i thought inside reshare this photo and post from 2021..

While moving some stuff around at home, yesterday. I came across this, stuck to the inside of Tommys wardrobe.. One of Dads Race passes, from the 1996 Season, issued by the Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board (MCRCB). 😊👍 This was given to Tommy, when mum was going through Dads stuff, after Dads crash, and he's kept it ever since, and its now 25 years old! ❤ How did that happen, @tomhardman @gaitrahandmade 😯 I'm only a year away from being the same age as dad is here!! 😱 And yet I remember like it was yesterday. 😢 ..I'm now looking forward to MotoGP starting next week, and a 24th season of watching it without you. 😁 🏁 #bikeracing #motorcycleracing #motorcycle #moto
