If you had told me I’d be in the states competing I wouldn’t believe you. Big shout out to obrien and the team that put together this event, it was one of the best experiences of my life although I didn’t podium in the comp personally, team blokes pulled through with the win 🥇. Very thankful for the people I met this weekend and to battle out the double flip together was insane and will hopefully be riding together again very soon. More vids to come

Warning: Long-Winded Post about the American Kneeboard Association Pro-Am Ahead

On our way home from the AKA Pro-Am and let me just say, wow, what an event! This event paired seasoned Professionals up with Amateurs from across the country in a unique format that proved to be a huge success. Riders competed both as teams and individuals with the top 5 Pros from Day 1 being captains.

I finished Day 1 as the highest scoring rider and got an awesome team. While my team may not have podiumed, I still say we had the most fun! It was so much fun hanging out with all the kids, parents, and riders, whether on my team or not. They all did fantastic and were so fun to ride with!

As far as my own results, I couldn't be happier! We had 3 rounds of scored competition, and while I didn't put together my trick line for Rounds 2 and 3, I did put together the best run of my life in Round 1, putting down all 8 tricks in a row and throwing a double flip as my wild card. This run scored me 45,900 points and secured me the win in the Pro Division. Let's gooo! This win took an army. From the whole kneeboard crew helping me with gear and tips over the years to my parents for being out with me Every. Single. Day. that it didn't rain over the last 2-3 weeks, I couldn't do it without you all! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And of course, it wouldn't be a wrap up post without talking about the double flip. Yes, you heard that right, the double flip. Mase, Jordan, and myself battled that thing out over the weekend. I believe between the three of us, 13 double flips were attempted. And while it was ugly, I was the only one to ride away from one. Granted, I had to do the patented Ben Klein slide to make it happen, but the crowd's reaction was worth it, and I wouldn't change a thing. We'll land it cleaner one day, but I'll hold this first ride away close to my heart forever.

Finally, huge shoutout to the whole crew who made this happen. I can't begin to thank you guys enough for pulling off an event of this caliber. This truly is my passion and to see these kids share the same passion was an amazing thing. I can't begin to describe how proud of these kids I am. I only met them th
