Out today via @horusmusic / www.ignoreheroes.com feat. @rugged_and_absurd @eli.knox and #UncivilizedTom . Vintage surf artwork by @outtaspace_presents , recorded @thelinkandpin and mastered by @tommiritello #postjazz #postpsych #liveambient #gaborszabo

“it’s surfy and breezy and so much more.. like pushing the envelope of preconceived ideas to transform surfy to surfing a tsunami in the open and incredibly warm Indian ocean on the back of a sperm whale while sucking on jungle juice , all the while breathing in the calm spaciousness of it all.. “ By @miloshobradovich

🚨2nd single “ ‘round midnight in e minor “ from the new @banduncivilized album is out this Friday 12am EST 🚨

Preview the first minute of the track against a pic of @uncivilizedtom captured by @cjtoyou late at night after the critters were asleep (Spider-Man piñata poster pictured right of center for Bronte Bleys 5th bday party). Pre-order / pre-save / pre-pubescent link in biography…

Usually Uncivilized is a whole big band and is all about the magic of putting different ensembles together, so it’s a bit strange to see and hear my guitar so out-front in the mix but alas, I always love playing these old Thelonious Monk tunes which are well suited for being ripped apart and reimagined in weird Uncivilized ways — and ‘Round Midnight is simply the best . The melody feels plucked from a Brahms symphony or something , not to mention those haunting chord movements and dark humour of the whole thing… ANYWAYS : this one’s a jangly janky jungle, for sure!

Mastered by @tommiritello , distributed legally by @horusmusic …

Xoxo
