What does bridal fashion look like when a designer stops being afraid to show the darker side of her style? For Nicole Percacciolo, it looks like vintage lace, hand-dyed details, floral appliqués and haunting silhouettes. Her latest @percacciolocollection, Midnight Blooms, was created in response to the speed and constant consumption of modern life. Inspired by floral forms, aged trees and the contrast between light and shadow, it takes the softness of traditional bridal and pulls it somewhere darker. Every veil and accessory is handmade in Nicole’s Beacon, New York studio, with lace dyed in small batches and appliqués individually cut and stitched.
