🔥 design a christian ministry flyer/poster with us that's actually fire ✅️ here's some of our process: - Make sure your brand identity is spelled out clearly. Part of that process involves moodboarding. We're always looking at and stealing from our moodboards. - When you're designing with display text (big text that acts as an art piece), never just use it out of the box. Always adjust your tracking and kerning (the space between letters side to side) and leading (vertical distance between lines). - Grab your students, staff, or volunteers and do some themed shoots that are consistent with your brand. We styled a shoot where we photographed a few students jumping off of a table in 2023 and we've used those photos dozens of times... This is way better than trying to hunt for free stock photos that ate actually on brand.... - We like to layer things to create depth. One dimensional art is usually boring. - we don't die by grids, but they can be super helpful to make sure your composition is tight. - try again and again and again. Iteration is helpful. Our designs rarely look exactly like we expected they would. Art is organic and you'll usually figure the design out as you work. 🎥 GoCreate Media Experience is a 12 week media internship at YWAM Orlando. 📆 It starts January 7th.
