POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

An incredibly special evening with Randa Abdel-Fattah (@randaafattah) who visited us from Australia to discuss her incredible novel DISCIPLINE and join us in advocating for Palestinian liberation.

We hosted this beautiful, layered and emotionally visceral night in collaboration with @commonhooduk, and were proudly supported by @djrichreason and @tommysbars.

All profits were donated to Reviving Gaza. Thank you to everybody who joined us - we’ll never forget it.

The cool girls in Manchester go to the Palestinian book club on a week night 👀🇵🇸📚

What a beautiful evening.

Thank you to Randa Abdel-Fattah for coming together with us and the girls at Read Room, giving us so much to unpack, question and talk about.

Of course, thank you to the Read Room for bringing us together and making this one happen - we loved hosting with you 🤍

And, to Tommy’s Bar - for serving some of the best drinks in the city, with that generous Arabic hospitality to match.

Books, big conversations, Arabic welcome drinks, za’atar crisps, Middle Eastern beats from @djrichreason and a room full of beautiful people.

More of this, please. 🤎

Candles lit.
Drinks poured.
Books open.
A room full of good people.

We’re hosting a Palestinian book club, and you’re invited.

Award-winning author Randa Abdel-Fattah will be joining Commonhood and Read Room for an intimate evening to discuss her new book, Discipline - a novel that explores Palestine, media censorship, institutional complicity and the costs of speaking up during times of crisis.

The evening will start with a beautiful Arabic-inspired welcome drink created especially for the evening by Tommy’s Bar. We’ll then sit down with Randa, and discuss the key themes of her book - themes which are more relevant now than ever.

We only have a small, intimate space, so we expect this one to fill quickly.

Want first access?
Comment “BOOK CLUB” and we’ll send you the link before tickets go live.

All details above.
5th October
Hope to see you soon ❤️

Last week we welcomed our amazing community through for the second event of the Allpress Lates series with @somucheverything and @natoora.

Emma and team delivered above and beyond with a selection of mouthwatering BBQ style plates. @tommysbars took over the training room to serve up incredible cocktails for the evening.

We are incredibly proud that £2 of every meal was raised for Natoora’s Farm Fund, which provides grants to young growers helping build a more resilient food system.
