The evening breeze on the lakeside.
Small waves swaying.
A white line drawn in the sky.
Eventually they blur, lose their shape, and disappear.

See the impact of the ripple for yourself in this Schön! editorial photographed by Tomofumi Usa @tomofumiusa with fashion by Tomohiko Sawasaki @sawasakitomohiko who styles Rei Kadota in looks by Muller Of Yoshiokubo, Stein, ANTHEM A and others. Hair and make up by Chiho Hatae @chihohatae

No.391 “PORTRAIT OF SHADE”
.

.
The hustle and bustle, and the silence of the city, light and shade. Opposites cohabit.
This belongs to the shade, its portrait.
It stands quietly. An expression that does not clearly appear on the surface.
Not direct, and difficult to understand.
This is a real portrait that reflects myself.
This work expresses my way of being and thinking, returning to the starting point.

This is a work that I created back to basics as a photographer, and it is one that serves as a guideline for me.
Shigeo Gocho, who inspired me to pursue photography when I was a high school student and had the greatest influence on me as a photographer, was a major motive power in the creation of this work.
