We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear husband and father, Melvin James Thompson. After beating esophageal cancer, he succumbed to pneumonia. All are welcome to the funeral. Included in the comments is a zoom link for those who are not able to attend in person.

I love the way he lit up when reunited with my mom.

Just look at this stylish mountain adventurer.

This is how old I feel.

And this.

I love his peaceful love and care.

They really are eternal sweethearts.

He did so much for so many all around him, but you’d always catch him talking about one of his children.

We’re not ready to say goodbye to him. It’s hard for us on this side. Who will I interrupt while he’s working to ask gospel or political questions? He was the perfect example of keeping an open and patient heart. I love you, Dad.

7 years ago on September 1st Archie returned home. But I can say with confidence the invitation to feel God’s love is ready for us anytime. Also, how great is it that Gus is willing to sing with us?! The gates of heaven blaze with light.
The Savior beckons in robes of white—
Arms outstretched, His table spread.
Come to His feast; with love be fed.
As weary trav’lers on life’s road,
When the world is dark and cold,
Where’er we wander, where’er we roam,
We’re always welcome, welcome home. “Welcome Home”, by Andrea Christensen Brett. #ldsmusic #1027

Hi there! I’m Tanya Quinn, owner and director at Pavilion Plays. I am so excited to bring more theater options to my own Clayton community. I direct children’s theater for some pretty amazing places around the triangle, but it’s time to include my own community in the fun!

Over the past 25 years I have acted in commercials, stage productions, Shakespeare, musicals, long and short form improv, where I currently own an improv company, Lucky Street Comedy, a clean improv show. I teach improv and acting to children from age 7 to 18. I have directed ten children shows since 2021, after taking my own important break directing my greatest group, my own children! The pavilion is open. Let’s play!

I stumbled on this photo from Julian’s baptism back in 2021. Julian was baptized by water, and Evangeline was about to baptize him by fire!

Evangeline got dressed for P.F.Chang’s Christmas Eve dinner, and when she came into the room she proudly declared she was bringing Archie with us.
