I had the awesome opportunity last spring to work with @lonespruce.us on a project to get some black bear camera trap video for @mefishwildlife . Here is a small clip from some of the footage my camera taps captured in the remote Maine woods.

Jackson Wild Part 01 - Appreciation post ( scroll ➡️ to see all pics)

What an incredible week that we, @atelesfilms, had at the Jackson Wild Summit.
THANK YOU so much! It was an absolute pleasure to be with you all. 💐 Everything is much easier when we are surrounded by people that walk in the same direction as us.
Here is a part of our Wild Family!

“Babs” (Pt1)

Meet DC Universes “The Fruit Bat”, Aka “Barbara - Babs”

Filmed for season 1 of #Disney #Nationalgeographic #Underdogs narrated by @vancityreynolds

One of several sequences I worked on for the “Sexy Beasts” episode of Underdogs series 1, this however taking the title for most gruesome. Behaviour is behaviour though…. and there is apparently a career to be had in bat polyamory.

So what are Barbara’s super powers?

- Massive wingspan of 1.5 meters of 5 feet, making them one of the biggest bat species on the planet.

- Being key pollinators their feeding habits help maintain forest ecosystems and support biodiversity across their range in the Indian subcontinent.

- They can travel up to 150 kilometers (93 miles) in a single night to forage for fruit, showcasing their remarkable endurance and navigational skills.

Shot on @reddigitalcinema #Raptorvv in a @gyrostabilizedsystems GSS Mini, @sonyprofilmmaking Venice 2 and @canonuk CN20, with hand held gimbal work from the #CanonR5C and @djiglobal #djirs3

Sequence stills taken from raw footage of Red Raptor VV or Canon R5C.

It’s almost 5 years to the day that @revealedinnature captured this shot for America The Beautiful & there’s now a tragic story behind it.

We were granted access to this amazing location in Malibu Canyon thanks to a gracious owner and a Shephard we met on the property. She was grazing sheep to create a fire break on the land and it was her intel that gave us the confidence to setup our cameras on the ridge line overlooking Santa Monica Bay.

We captured this stunning image (which sadly never made the series) but now this location is also the current epicentre of the Franklin Fire. I can only hope they maintained their ingenious firebreak practises and spared the property from the worst of the fire.
