One year ago this week, I landed in Dubai.

Last Saturday, I hosted another Power Women’s Walk for female founders and corporate leaders living here.

Every week, the mix of women changes. Travel. Kids. Life.
But the outcome never does.

For an hour, it’s an adrenaline hit of feminine energy.
Big sisters and little sisters trading hard truths.
Celebrating engagements, promotions, pregnancies, new babies, PR announcements, product launches, and career pivots.
Holding space for the tough seasons too.

We don’t network.
We see each other.

What still blows my mind about us?

🤝 32% are second- or third-line leaders
🎓 36% hold master’s degrees
👩🏽‍💻 Industries represented span consumer services, logistics, media and entertainment, sports, AI and software, cybersecurity, data, cloud, SaaS, digital transformation, luxury retail, women’s health, coaching, education, hospitality, and more
🌍 Members have lived and worked across France, Sweden, the US, UAE, Australia, Eastern Europe, the UK, Nigeria, Ghana, India, Lebanon, Canada, Spain, and beyond

In just one year in Dubai, during what honestly felt like the hardest year of my life, something rare grew anyway.

A rose through concrete. I’m so grateful

We are a small, intentional, invitation-only community.
And we stay that way on purpose.

Hyrox Dallas 2024 will always be one of the proudest moments of my career, both as an athlete and as a coach. There are so many reasons why this one stands out, but first and foremost, I have to thank my incredible partner @heidijoandco. You pushed me, competed by my side, and helped us both achieve more than we thought. I’m so proud of what we accomplished together, and even more proud of the drive you brought to the table. There were moments when I wanted to slow down, but if you weren’t stopping, I wasn’t stopping. Excited to apply our new strategy in March to crush our goal time.

A huge thank you to all the athletes who trusted me as your coach and allowed me to be part of your journey. Whether it was your first fitness competition or your hundredth, this one was truly special. Having a team travel from Houston—and another from out of state—to dominate in a new city was beyond incredible. Watching everyone support and uplift each other was a reminder of the community we’ve built together. When you’re part of a team at any level, you learn to get along, but when you build a community, you choose each other every single day. I’ll never take for granted that you’ve chosen me as your coach, but at the end of the day, the credit goes to you. You’re the ones who put in the work. As I always say, “I didn’t do shit but yell at you; you did all the work,” and “I coach so I can hang with friends who push me to do cool shit with my body.” Grateful for every step of this journey.

Lastly, I want to thank my mom for coming out to see me compete for the first time since little league baseball. It meant the world to have her there, sharing the chaos, the fun, and the memories. I’m so happy we got to experience this weekend together—and even happier that I get to watch you now compete in March.

Houston, get ready. We’re running it back in March—more athletes, faster times, and an even stronger community. Let’s go!
