Bring on the Buckeye drama @kirk_barton. It’s kind of like Vanderpump Rules but with pads & helmets. #thekericroftshow #systemofstrength #theohiostateuniversity #buckeyescoop

Drops this Fri am 💣

If you Google Kirk Barton you’ll see the following bits of info: He played for the Buckeyes, had a brief stint in the NFL, and he owns a Buckeye media outlet called Buckeye Scoop.

Kirk says things out loud that most people wouldn’t. It’s a quality that likely contributes to his polarizing persona, but one that I find oddly endearing at times.

Part of Kirk’s story that I didn’t know until this interview is that he lost his dad to cancer when he was just 12-years old. Knowing this puzzle piece shifted my perspective on this unapologetic, controversial guy.

True to form, Kirk gets candid about pretty much everything in our interview. Dropping this Friday am 💣

Some unsolicited advice for anyone out there who’s looking over the ledge trying to muster up the courage to do something new:

Jump.

Then go ALL in.

You’ll be nervous and feel stupid at times. It’s part of the process and there’s no way around it.

Let go of worrying or wondering about what anyone else thinks and prepare for people to surprise you. Some people you think will be supportive just aren’t (not your problem to solve) and some people who you never imagined will become your biggest cheering section. It’s all OK and again, an inevitable part of the process.

All that matters is what you think and what your intuition is telling you. No one walks your path but YOU.

At the end of the day you either jump and put yourself in the ring, or you step back, shrink, and let yourself literally die inside wondering what could have been for the rest of your days on planet 🌏.

No ma’m imma jump every time.

DM me for a pep talk if you need it, I’m here for it!
