My first in a series of compilation albums covering what we deem to be “Grindhouse Doom” from around the world is now available on Bandcamp.

We begin in Italy. Arguably the current home of true psych doom. This is the Day of the Goat Rider.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed diving into the Italian underground and putting it together. Thanks to all the amazing artists for agreeing to be involved in this release. Link in bio. There will also be a bandcamp listening party on Friday 2nd October at 7pm. Link will be on story. Grab a few beers and join us!

Artists involved:

Alright, the cats out the bag. We bring this news to you on the day of the lord. A Sunday of all days. Funeralopolis Radio has taken off from this planet into its next stage…

We have been speaking to the best of the best in the Italian doom scene to negotiate a release that showcases what we like to call at Funeralopolis, “Grindhouse Doom”. Prepare for psychedelic, fuzzed out bliss that could fuel a thousand horror movies.

We don’t believe there’s been anything like it so far in the Italian corners of the dirty depths of doom. No skipping required. No hunting through for favourites to add to another playlist. This is the playlist. A unified, cohesive sleazy vibe designed for late night cruising of the galaxy and untold mischief. We want you bumping this thing out all Halloween season and it will be hitting the streets on October 2nd. Listen to the Italians still maintaining the exploitation film ethos and aesthetic from the days of Argento and Fulci.

Funeralopolis Presents: Il Giorno del Cavaliere-Capra. The Day of the Goat Rider. This will be the first in a series of Compilation albums.

Get the Dodge Swinger 1973 fired up, get the top down, get the chassis low and prepare for a ride.

Ci sono collaborazioni che vanno oltre un evento.
E quella con il Freak Out! Fest per noi è una di queste. 🖤💛

Grazie Freak Out! Fest. Ci sentiamo alla prossima. 🐝
