$When most riders think about crash injuries, they picture road rash, broken wrists, or head injuries. But one of the most common motorcycle injuries actually happens when a rider lands directly on the point of their shoulder. The collarbone acts like a strut connecting the shoulder to the chest. When enough force travels through that structure, it can fail, resulting in a clavicle fracture like the one shown in this video. Some clavicle fractures heal in just a few weeks. Others require surgery and can take months to fully recover from. No gear can eliminate risk entirely, but understanding how injuries happen can help us make better decisions about training, protective equipment, and risk management. Huge thanks to @tony.2.wheels for allowing me to share his footage and X-rays so others can learn from his experience. If you want to be featured in video like this, send me a message!$
