We’ve had lots of questions about what happens at the cafe, how it works, and what we serve, so here are our menus! Come eat, drink, and craft. 🤗 We partnered with Tony from Heartwood to create our menu. He’s a wonderful chef with strong connections to farmers through Sierra Harvest and access to some of the best produce around. We’re also serving Mapu’s empanadas (formerly at the Fern), organic sourdough from Deer Creek Bakehouse and Lexi’s famous smoked trout dip. The only things not coming from Nevada City are our guilty-pleasure desserts: Snickers ice cream bars and IT’S-ITs! For drinks, we’ve skipped the espresso machine since there are plenty around town. Instead, we partnered with Wild & Tea on a range of tea steamers and spritzers, alongside delicious drip and iced coffee from Red Bay Coffee. Our beer and wine license is on its way and should arrive in 7–10 business days. 😅 Once it does, we’ll have a rotating selection of red, white, and orange wines, beers from Crooked Lane, and Gold Vibe Kombucha. You don’t have to craft to spend time here. Come for a meal, a drink, or a little time with friends. We’d love to see you. We’re currently open daily, 10am–8pm. 244 Commercial Street, Nevada City, CA.

We spent the last two evenings working out the kinks during our soft opening. Friends and family stopped by to see the space, have dinner, make some crafts and share their feedback. Thank you to everyone who helped us get ready! Our wonderful team has worked so hard to make this a place you’ll enjoy spending time. We’re excited to open our doors tomorrow/Friday morning. It’s crunch time at Wolf Craft. Since we pulled back the paper, people’s reactions are giving us life. We’ve been buying plants, tasting beer and testing the menu with Heartwood and Mapu, setting up the space and preparing to open. It’s been a huge lift and we have the best team getting us ready. The cafe will be open any day now and our first (sold out) pottery class is tomorrow! Keep checking back for updates and sign up for classes and apply for membership, spots are filling quickly.

Congrats to @heartwoodeatery my ❤️’s @____scottyw___ phenomenal restaurant, for winning @nevadacitychamber Best Business of the Year and Best Business Person of the Year for its co-owner and GM extraordinaire, @tony_pc ⚡️   Heartwood was one of my first loves when I moved here. I was so obsessed with the Heartwood Bowl that I recreated it for my family when I traveled home to Minnesota 🙃 Fitting that a year later, I’d meet Scotty and fall in love with him too 🤗    The food nourishes in a way that feels rare these days. Their collaboration with local farmers and purveyors brings the best of each season to the table in the most magical and downright delish ways.    I’m in constant awe of the Heartwood team for all they do to cultivate an experience rooted in good food, connection, and community.
