🔥I would like to thank my wife for making this happen.🔥
What an unforgettable night. I actually got to rub elbows with Tony Levin, we shared a few laughs. Adrian pointed at me several times during the show. Got to meet Ron Whaley. Steve Vai ate my popcorn and gave me a pick.
🔥So Sick!!!🔥

Now streaming on @nugsnet, 8 shows from King Crimson’s first-ever Japanese tour in 1981. Listen now ➡️ nugs.net/kingcrimson

This series of gigs marked the beginning of King Crimson’s long-term love affair with Japan. On the back of the newly released ‘Discipline’ album, the tour focused mostly on Tokyo, with shows in Osaka and Nagoya as well.

With 'Discipline,' King Crimson reinvented itself in the 1980s, blending New Wave, minimalism, and intricate interlocking guitar work. The lineup for this era featured Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, and Bill Bruford. Tracks like "Elephant Talk" and "Frame By Frame" became signature pieces, characterized by their complex rhythms and tightly woven guitar interplay.

Stream the latest releases and more exclusive Crimson archives only on nugs.
