Photographer: Seungrok Nam @namseungrok Graphism: Roméo Abergel @romeopointcom "presque demain" exhibition, organized by Intersect, as part of @francedesignweek and in partnership with @designboom 25/09/2025 – 30/09/2025 "presque demain" emerges from a desire to explore the near future through the materiality of the present. Playing with the ambiguity carried by "presque" ("almost"), the Intersect collective transforms this uncertainty into a fertile ground for imagination and connection. Inspired by the idea of "Gesamtkunstwerk" ("total art"), the exhibition offers a contemporary reinterpretation through the encounter of practices across the visual arts. Instead of classifying works by discipline or typology, the journey highlights their overlaps and invites a rethinking of existing frameworks. Through these compositions, spaces are shaped by encounters, where each piece speaks on its own while also forming part of a larger ecosystem, weaving shared narratives. Between reverie and fragments of reality, these exchanges give rise to new dialogues. In response to the labelling and categorisation that still structure today’s artistic landscape, this curatorial approach embraces a more open model. It is not guided by a predefined theme, but rather by the works themselves, which shape the arrangement and design of the space. Each asserting its individuality through the resonances it creates with its environment and the other works. Pressure Pendant by Studio Dogtooth⁠ & Tony Taoli ⁠ The Pressure Pendant is a statement in controlled destruction, inspired by the unpredictable yet structured nature of shattered glass. Its nucleus-like impact point serves as the central focus, radiating a dynamic form that is both sculptural and functional.The aluminum structure is derived from fracture patterns of shattered glass, extracted from a single point of impact. These contours are digitally traced and processed into a manufacturable design. The interior diffusion casing is generated through a 3D simulation,⁠ where an inflated form expands against the aluminum arms, creating a precise fit between the components. This modular system is designed for versatility—it functions as a⁠ hanging pendant lamp, but can also rest as a table or ornament lamp.⁠ The structure is secured with M5 Chicago screws and relies on the friction of intersecting cut-outs, allowing for easy disassembly and shipping. This flexibility also opens the door for custom adaptations and form explorations, making it adaptable for custom projects in both private and public spaces.⁠ The Pressure Pendant is constructed from 3mm sandblasted aluminum sheet metal, laser-cut to form the outer structure, and features an SLA resin-printed interior diffusion casing.⁠ Designed with both architectural spaces and collectors in mind, the Pressure Pendant is more than a light—it is a functional sculpture that transforms any space. We are happy to present the exhibiting artists for our coming event "Arrhythmia" for @48stundennk at @centrumberlin 🕕 @canvaswan @_.origami._ @nkmrlr @niki__danai @tileores @hsuuusc @tonytaoli @benze.de.ream & @tondabdszs zzpabiz What if your heartbeat stopped following the rules? What if time stuttered, blinked, looped, or refused to make sense? What if rhythm, that thing we trust to keep us grounded, was the very thing unraveling? Arrhythmia is a space to feel those questions. It is a celebration (or maybe a gentle disturbance) of rhythms gone rogue. Seven artworks together with a curated program of sound (/) performances, form a landscape of ruptures, a space attuned to the excesses of rhythm that define contemporary life. Arrhythmia invites visitors to dwell within dissonance. It is in these frictions that new rhythms may emerge. Erratic and unfamiliar, it is not a stable space. It is full of pauses, pulses, and phantom beats.
